It's a good idea to crack the fill plug on the transmission before draining it. That way if you find you can't get the fill bolt out for any reason you aren't stuck with an empty transmission. Might not be an issue if you have more than one car but it's worth keeping in mind for a daily driver!

How long did the total install take? My car has a quiet whine during cold starts in neutral. If I press the clutch in the sound goes away. Also it goes away after the car warms up. I'm guessing TOB mine is a 2014 frs with 56K km's. I'm guessing this is an early sign of failure?

Sounds like the TOB to me. If you have not done it before but have all the right tools and all your bolts come out, should not take but around 4-6 hours or so. Keep in mind that I changed my entire clutch kit too.

Now have you had any codes being thrown with the lightest fw? I've read Soo many forms with ppl using the 11.5 fw the engine is dropping to quickly and then it's trying to over compensate for the rapid rpm drop and throwing more fuel or air and just starts rough idle searching have you had these problems at all since install?
@RageFueled4 жыл бұрын
gt_hachi_roku I have not had any issues but I am tuned through Delicious. Occasionally I get a bumpy idle when my AC cycles on and off but it’s fairly normal since the engine has less rotating mass and even if that’s not the case, it’s only a couple hundred rpm and doesn’t effect anything.

Now I don’t have lightweight pulleys. Just the flywheel. But again I’m tuned so that may change things. I’m first to admit I’m new to this amount of electronic control granted these cars don’t really have much but maybe the tune has some effect? I'm tuned by Delicious as well with the Edelbrock SC and same flywheel and clutch. Roberto Rodriguez no. It went on fine.
