They just didn't have a word to describe it in 1992. The term non-binary was only created in 2000. But Morph's power is that he can literally change back and forth between physically being a male or a female. How is that not non-binary? Non-binary literally means a gender that is not exclusively defined as just male or just female. That is exactly what Morph is. That's not a new thing. That was always what Morph did. Truth is, you're just upset because you're looking around now and realizing that you've joined the Friends of Humanity, and this show being re-released is making you deal with the idea that you have joined the villainous mob described all the way back in a kids show in 1992. The X-Men has always been an allegory for bigotry. That's what the show was about from day one. Now you're finding that you're the bigot, and it kind of sucks to realize that you turned into the villain in one of the shows you grew up liking as a kid. The show hasn't changed. Bigots were always the villains in the X-Men.

I wanted this to be as great as the original series but Disney's track record for making overly political content that is, to put it nicely, lacking in the good story department, these past few years has me horrified that they will once again, find a way to try to destroy a beloved franchise. I'm afaid that the only good thing to co.e out of this is the toy line...I hope this show will prove me wrong...

@@imnotmike there's a difference in how that kind of stuff was portrayed back then compared to nowadays. back then it was more subtle and got you thinking. now it's so in your face and they literally explain it all to you and then they go on to include sexual crap in it too and half the characters have to be gay or trans. that's what we can't stand

@@drunclecookie216 There is zero evidence of any of what you said. There is nothing sexual. No one is trans or gay. Morph being non-binary doesn’t mean he’s gay or trans. But, it makes complete sense from the stand point of how often he switches into being a woman. If someone could do that, it would only be consistent with their character to be comfortable being a woman as much as they are at being a man. That’s what non-binary is. He has always been that. There just wasn’t a label for it in the 90s. It’s not going to be some crazy plot point if it is even mentioned at all so just chill out and give it a shot and you’ll probably enjoy the show.
