No. This is why not every developer can afford to do real-time in engine cutscenes because it can affectively break the game. AAA developers on more powerful hardware have an easier time doing this. Assuming its worth the budget. To other devs its easier or more effective to dedicate budget to Gameplay.

There's a developer commentary on the game and they make a comment where one asks, "Whatever happened to that plotline [where Cortana turns on Chief]?" and another guy jokes, "It was far too good of a story" or something like that

Still remember the 1st time I figured out you could mess with this cutscene. I must’ve been 10 and it blew my mind. Was playing co-op with a bud,stuck myself and ran towards him right before the cutscene trigger happened. So the part where the door slowly opens? You see a bright blue explosion and suddenly chief FLEW through it,perfectly timed for when it opened just enough.

Hahahahaha oh me god that was good. You got me with that, hearing the Banshee in the cutscene the brains like "Yah, we've all done that before" And then the reveal hahaha. I never even thought about how simple it' would've been for the devs to just make her an actual character model, where it's always been assumed in my mind that she would be a static noclipped thing.

​@@Channel10334No, literally just leave the Banshees from the previous area alive, kill everything else. Lure a Banshee to you, and around the doorway it will constantly try to ram you. Use a Ghost to avoid being splattered, and some luck to hit the buttons to open the door. Then the result will be what you see here.

Lol, I would have thought of this back in the day if I wasn't regularly stealing to save time for the past 20 years of playing Halo 1/2. Glitches like that remind me of when I used to actually try things for fun on classic Xbox. Like what if during the quarantine zone gone to a flood fight you just find a way to nope out of the fight entirely and climb to the roof of the gondola and the flood will never find you and you could just sneak to the end of a level, or carry a rocket launcher with full ammo and deal with the remaining flood on the gondola floor. Remember when Halo 1 had reflective mirror surfaces and then every game after didn't? Istg Halo peaked with CE in terms of the mix of gameplay, graphics, artstyle, music, tone, and energy. Everything after H2 -- until Infinite -- was try-hard fake-deep CoD with aliens in it.
