I rescued a 4 year old English Mastiff who lived in a cage all her life. I slept with her downstairs for 3 months and told her we have a bedroom upstairs. She had never been on stairs. I thought what would Cesar do? A bag of bacon and some coaching within 30 minutes she was up them. After that she slept in my bedroom which then she had her own bed by mine. The knowledge he has shared with me has been so very helpful.

I adopted a rescue from a puppy farm without doubt it was the hardest thing I have ever done and I’ve had dogs all my life. She had lived in a cage for 5 years and had severe trust issues so if I couldn’t get her to trust they would have euthanised her. She hid in my trees and bit me if I went near her but eventually I got her to come inside. I lived opposite a large park and I used to take her into the middle of the of it so noise didn’t frighten her and I did the same things with her every day so she knew what was coming next. Long story short she ended up the sweetest little girl and she even featured in an Australian animal rescue magazine.

I met you and your son about 10 or so years ago in Singapore. We had you hold an event there. You and I talked for a few hours in the waiting room that you guys were in. We thought about bringing you to Japan. Your son was so small then. Now he is so tall and learned so much from you. Total respect.

My 91 year old mother in law recenty passed away. We have offered a home to her dear traumatized chihuahua dachsund mix. Have not had a dog in my life for 40 years. Watching Cesars videos and reading his books. Has been so helpful in navigating our first meeting and our first week with one another. Learning how to talk dog. Definitely gaining and earning his trust. Feeling confident we are going to have a good relationship. Senor Carlito is such a gentleman. My mother in law raised a very trusting loving dog. Honored to get the privilege of caring for her sweet boy. He knows a lot of commands in both English and Spanish. Im rehabbing a broken leg. Hes sweet to match his pace to mine when we are out walking. He definitely follows my lead. Doesnt pull when walking. Stays at the door. No bolting. We have so much going right. With Cesars way have not had to say no even once in a week. Leave it a few times when outdoors that he quickly responds to. Grateful to have had such a wonderful mother in law. Learning a lot about my own psychology here in the last week. Want to be a responsible loving pack leader. Thank you Cesar and team.

This channel is extraordinary. The explanation for why it hasn't got millions of subscribers is simple: KZbin uses algorithms just like Facebook, Google, and all social media. When people do not receive this channel on their menu, they have no idea it exists. I am grateful to receive many of Cesar's channels.

No argument with your statement. You are correct. But…dogs live in the moment, be careful how you keep the past present for a dog with emotion. Treat the dog like everything is good now.

My GSD is very much like Bruce. She developed a fear of other kids (even though I have them) which is tough. Shes runs from them bc they chase her and approach her directly. Its difficult to tell kids to not approach her, or better yet tell the parents to tell them. I'm slowly bringing her to parks and kid areas more often. And giving kids treats before they get to her

Building a MUTUAL trust with any Breed is extremely important (especially larger, strong willed breeds). It needs to start at Day 1 & be worked on daily & continuously. The amount of Humans who do not know &/or realize this & just want to automatically label certain Breeds as "dangerous" are the REAL problem.

@rhodatacaldo49475 ай бұрын
Absolutely!** Building a bond** is so important, and it goes both ways. Positive reinforcement and understanding are key for any dog, but especially larger breeds. They need to know they can trust you, and you need to trust them too. Daily work and consistency are spot on. Couldn't agree more that education is the real answer to overcoming breed stereotypes.😀

Judith Moore I thank God for the compassion and kindness of everyone who rescues, helps, saved these beautiful and innocent victims of the cruelties inflicted on so many animals worldwide. Humans have the capacity for such barbaric treatment, it's a war against such deplorable human active. Always for greed. Fur farms and factory farming are literally the depth of suffering and cruelties inflicted. So to witness goodness and kindness is beautiful.

He experienced agoraphobia (fear of open spaces) and who could blame him for that; the wide open world and different friendly people were never part of his life from the beginning. This breaks me into that we live in a so called free country lol and seeing these injustices happening to the shepherd breeds! I know these dogs aren’t the avg yard family pet to raise themselves throughout the day which requires a lot of patience and training however this isn’t okay and sadly this is all so very often happening every day in America and the sadest part is there are so many of these that they vote out these laws being tried to be passed for them ! There are more shepherds each day by the dozens being put down out west from cases like this and dogs that are tested and called aggressive ! So sad !
