Being prey animals, rabbits often can grow very apprehensive about people reaching towards them. If you have a rabbit who has become very scared or reacts poorly whenever you reach towards them, this is a great exercise to help gain that rabbit's trust.

This is an old video, so: General advice for becoming friends with your rabbit is to hang out in the same room and wait for it to become used to you (the room does not need to be a cage). Just hanging out in the same room is fine. You and your pet can just chill out and do whatever you want until the rabbit is comfortable enough in its new home to come near you or relax in your presence or even ask for you to groom it. Treats help, of course. Btw, to the people who are uncomfortable with "earning an animal's trust" because it "feels forced", just don't get a pet then. But domesticated animals (like these rabbits) can't survive in the wild, so ppl who love pets may as well become their friends and guardians. But I understand this imagery of being forced to hang out in an empty cage seems very uncomfortable. See my above advice about bonding with your pet bunny without an empty cage.

Great video. I did this similar with my cat. He was a feral stray who had to be caught from the street because of his bad medical condition. I got him from a shelter and the first months he barely even breathed when I was in a room with him. He just his and didn't move a centimeter. I just sat down there, hours, every day, several times a day, spoke to him, read to him from books, just sat there quietly. The next level was roaming around. He was in my kitchen and I started doing the dishes (hadn't used my kitchen with him inside for weeks), started doing chores, didn't look at him when doing so. He never left his cave for months when I was near. When I then opened the door to the rest of my flat, he started roaming around, still shy and hectic, but he was used to me doing dishes and got relaxed when hearing the water running. It took about 8 months until I could finally for the first time touch his fur for a short second. I now own him for two years. He comes on the couch and looks for cuddling, but he will never be a "normal" cat. He very quickly attacks and gets scared and runs away. I can pet him for about 20 seconds now, if he has a "good day" and is in the mood. Sometimes he also sleeps on the same couch as I do. This is a huge success compared to this highly defensive and feral cat he was when I got him.
