I never thought about how I learned gainer, but looking at this video I realized that I learned it exactly like method 1. I think it is a very valuable method because the vertical twisting gainer exercise at the start teaches how to throw the gainer on the correct axis slightly over the shoulder. I see so many people treating it too much like a backflip and throwing it straight back, making the trick so much harder.

I'm trying to figure out why I've never done a j-step back tuck before 🤔?.. I'd work on it right now but my legs are still pretty sore from a 200 rep set of full squats a couple days ago. 1 set session 200 reps. And 2.5mph walk/5.5mph jog 2laps each for a mile on the treadmill afterwards. 1st session working my way back up to 1000 reps like I was doing at this time 2 years ago. I kept them going from the end of 2020 til july of 2021. This year's been kind of a throwaway for the most. Gettin ready for 2023. Glad to see you're still as on point as ever.

Coming from someone who has been able to gainer for like 2 years: DO METHOD 1 so you don't have to repeat my mistakes. I was able to cork before I could gainer because I refused to put in the effort to learn how to effectively use my swing leg, and only now years later am I finally fixing the terrible habits that came as a result of that decision. Gainer is nothing like backflip, and cork is nothing like full. You will be much better off if you follow that statement, believe me.

I'm new to tricking and I have no gym or mats to practice. I'd like to learn this move and backflip. The question is, can you learn a backflip turning a cheat gainer into a backflip? I find the macaco very difficult for me, so I feel like I'm further from a backhandspring than from a backflip.
@KojosTrickLab2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can! I'd focus on learning tricks like B-kick, Aerial, Raiz & gainer first as they can all be built up gradually without you needing to take a leap of faith. ONce you get those down tricks like backflip are gonna feel a whole lot easier and less scary

@@KojosTrickLab Thank you so much for the answer, I really need a point to start so this is like gold. I think I'm going to spend my time to learn aerial first as I feel I'm far from cheat gainer too, hoping somehow I'll start feeling more comfortable going backwards :)

I train in a park and got REALLY close. Then fall came and the grass and earth are now constantly wet and slippery. Any advice on where to train outside during fall and winter if you don't have access to a hall? I don't want to have to wait till spring 🥲
@KojosTrickLab2 жыл бұрын
I've got a video on Kojostricklab.com called "The Winter Training Guide" all about training effectively without a gym through the winter actually haha. Bark/forest floors can be a great surface for winter tricks because they're soft and quite grippy even when it's wet out!

@@KojosTrickLab Great idea! With work and all I'll definitely try that on the weekend since it's getting dark pretty early. Thanks!
