Pretty much yes. I think the cross play setups on all the consoles leaves a lot to be desired. I even made a video complaining about it. Why not just have a family system that let's anyone in the family play games bought within that group? Obviously you'd need to limit the number but at least it wouldn't be a pain in the neck to set up.

I've been searching for an answer. Wondering if there is a way to only have to buy a digital game once. Your explanation is actually the clearest of all the videos I've watched. First, create second family user profile using the primary switch. Then log in to that same primary switch with the new user you just created. Lastly, log onto the secondary switch with primary user profile. Is that it? I hope that's it because I think I understand you. LOL! BTW, when the primary user logs into the secondary switch, does he need to be primary, meaning if there is a primary user on that secondary switch, do you need to deregister that user first?

You can download and play games on any Switch you log on to as long as it has an internet connection. Your primary Switch will allow you to play games when offline, among other things. Other people can also logon to your primary Switch and play the games you have purchased. Hope that helps.

Alright here is a rundown of what i know, switch-A (home switch) and switch-B (second switch) Any profile can play your games on switch-A. only you can play your games on switch-B with an internet connection to verify that you are not playing on switch-A, but after it verifies, you can turn on airplane mode and play offline on switch-B You can not play the same game on both switches with the same account. You can play differant games on both switches with the same account. You can play the same game on Switch-B that another account is playing on Switch-A. This should answer anyones questions that read this.

Log in to your account on your Girlfriend's Switch and download the games, then your girlfriend should be able to log on and play them (assuming you've set the machane as YOUR primary console). Hope that helps.

This will depend on who bought the game. If you bought the game, then your regular Switch would have to be set as the primary in order for her to play animal crossing on that Switch. If you have your console registered as your boyfriend's primary console and you then log on with your account you should be able to play games from his account and yours. You will need to have an internet connection in order to play your games, though, due to the way this is implemented on the Switch. Hope that helps.

Oh, this is a real headache due to AC not supporting cloud saves. It also doesn't currently support moving saves from one console to another either, so you could be out of luck. Guys, I recently picked up a switch lite for about $130 (my GameStop was closing and had a close out sale). With my big switch, I share games with my good friend and coworker. We have game share figured out between the 2 switches, but what is the best way for me to be able to get his games on the switch lite as well? Is this possible?

That's where it gets really tricky. The short answer is that you can't. The long answer is that you could get it working but it would be such a pain in the neck that you might want to give the idea a miss. It would basically mean messing about with home console settings whenever you wanted to access the games from a particular Switch and I'm not even sure how that would work. I have three Switches and it's too much of a nightmare for me to want to even contemplate it.

You can transfer it. Log in with your account and re-download it from the store. Depending on the game, you can also retrieve your saves, either from the other Switch or using cloud saves if you are a member of Switch Online.

Nintendo have set it so you have one primary console that can be used for playing games offline etc. This is usually the first console you use to log in to the eshop. You can change this by deselecting the console as your primary and logging on to the eshop with another console. Hope that helps.

Yes, it should. Why would you want to sign in using his account, though? If you have set this up correctly, you should be able to use your account.

Joe Chip Look I’m gonna be frank I hate Nintendo’s way of game sharing I’ve looked at a bunch of tutorials and by far yours is the simplest. But The way I understand it is his is supposed to be the primary console and when he wants to play use on of his other profiles and when I want to play use his profile. What does primary console mea?

You have one console that will be set up as your primary. This usually happens automatically, when you first log on to the Nintendo eshop. If you want to change the primary console, you have to deregister your primary console, then log on to the eshop with the console you want to make your primary. To deregister a console, you log on to the eshop and select your icon (top right). Then scroll down to the bottom and select deregister. Hope that helps.
