I live in Clearwater and soaking my seeds now. Hopefully the cooler weather will be ok. I have foxtails in my backyard, so this might be a fun hobby

I live in south Florida. There are trees all around full of seeds. You dont need to do anything special to germinate them. They will germinate right on the ground where they fall, laying right on the surface of the sand if they sit there long enough. I cover mine with a wire screen since squirrels will steal them and eat them if they aren't buried

I'm from Kentucky. Visited Florida like I do almost every year and got me palm seeds. It's not very cold here in ky and we have 5 months of warm weather and trying to germinate them now. Already have 2 date palms growing nice and healthy.

What is the use of this fruit
@diygardening71212 жыл бұрын
It transpires that the thin layer of nectarine-like flesh is edible when the fruit are soft to the squeeze, but it is very close to being flavorless; not sweet, but very faintly acrid. If you haven't nibbled foxtail fruit, I can assure you you aren't missing anything.

I would like this video better if you show the package the name of the soil and of the fertilizer that you are using, the ratio of dirt to fertilizer. Also even with my volume turned all the way up I found it hard to hear you so you need to speak louder or be closer to your microphone.

They will grow in pretty much anything. Here in south Florida, they start sprouting in plain sand when they fall off a tree. You don't need anything special. Just dirt

Within 2 days I peeked under the lid and have mold growing! Don’t think this is gonna work here in Florida! Especially with the lid kept on and the whole thing kept out of the sun!
@lelum20074 жыл бұрын
Hi - don’t leave it out in the full sun ☀️ - need to leave it somewhere you get less sun light but not lacking it - at the same time - just keep it lightly moist not wet - else you’ll get all mouldy. Thanks

Use ALL perlite not potting mix and remove the fruit or skin. At least in most cases.
