Hi James. I’m really happy to see that you’re making other palm germination video’s. I’ve been following your video’s about the Washingtonia Robusta. Started a month ago right now my palm sprouted and starting to become green... much love from Tel Aviv, Israel. Looking forward to watch new video’s.

Also do you Ziploc bag completely shot? And just leave it the entire time without any drainage or watering?
@jamestropicals20252 жыл бұрын
If you buy a queen palm online that for sale if it’s a large sized palm since the leaves are really tall and can’t fit inside a box they have to cut the fronds in half so the palm can fit inside the box

Thanks for doing this. When the seeds in bag start to grow which way do you put them in pot. Is the first growth from the seed the root?

@@TheJames2929 I succeeded at growing one and it’s pretty big now, but not entirely sure it’s a queen palm as it does not look exactly like yours. Is there any way to send you a pic to confirm whether or not I have been successful?

@@TheJames2929 my experience. I was at the beach with my son and we saw some super dry seeds on the ground underneath a palm tree and we took some home and I randomly threw them in some pots I had some avocado plants growing in. By the way I live in Central Florida and let me say I thought the seedlings were grass or weeds at first and I pulled one up just to realize that it was the seed I put in there a long time ago and it finally sprouted. Now I'm more excited about the palm tree then the avocado plant because I am doing something wrong with avocado plants I've been failing since the beginning of the pandemic. I can get them to about 4 ft tall but then they start to get droopy and the leaves fall off. Another plant that I love now and find exciting and easy to grow is papaya
@robingray24439 ай бұрын
If I could give one quote about farming it would be, “never lose, either I win or I learn”. Make sure you have good drainage on the papaya, don’t let water sit around the roots. Brown spots on the trunk warn of root rot.

I'm buying queen palm seeds online and they look light brownish and have fibers and hair-like substance on them do you know if it's already been germinated and soaked in water, can I just plant them as soon as they arrive?

I would probably soak them in a little bit of water for a day or two and then plant them

Cleaning off the fruit is a slippery slimy mess. I soak them for 3 days, strip the fruit off then soak for another day, then they go into the pot.
