It was pretty much expected, but then Game Freak had to make a shitty decision as well. It's just so disappointing after doing that cell fetching quest that we don't even get to keep its ultimate form, and it losing aura break to power construct just makes it lose way harder to Xerneas lol. And it having NO importance to the story is just sad since there could of been lots of things utilized with this guy. If the 100% form kept Aura Break it could tank a couple of moonblasts from Xerneas.

Ravus To be honest Zygarde lost hard to Xerneas anyway so losing Aura Break wasn't much of a loss. I was just hoping there would be more of a story about why Zygarde's powers finally activated and I thought we might have been able to go back to Kalos. It would have made since to me at least..

It is a devastating loss for it since the alternative is obviously better. If the Complete form kept Aura Break and wasn't tied to power construct It'd be at full health. Zygarde Complete with 252/HP 252/SP DEF Careful nature and Aura Break will tank 4 unboosted Moonblasts from Xerneas that is maxed out with 252/SP ATK. It's a 2HKO after Leftovers recovery and Xerneas using Geomancy.

Not me it wasn't in all my experiences Xerneas destroyed Zygarde on all on turns. Truth be told Zygarde should never be out on Xerneas anyway. I prefer Power Construct since you can activate it easily behind substitute and get some free Dragon Dances or Coils. There has never been a time for me where Zygarde has ever survived or taken out Xerneas.

Getting all 100 parts of Zygarde isn't that difficult, guys. I actually found it to be kind of fun and rather rewarding. The only real difficulty is the day/night ones. But that is easily rectified postgame since you can go to the altar and jump through the wormhole whenever you want. Seriously. Just find a guide and go re-explore the Alolan islands. Odds are, you'll probably find something else you missed along the way as well.

"Legal" implies they're illegitimate. Which they're not. Heck, you could hack in a Zygarde and then disassemble it and the cells would still be "legal" cells, because the game has no way of tracking info about a disassembled Zygarde. I have about 80 or so personally collected, but that's it. Actually it might be closer to 60, I don't remember.

I reccomend beast ball beldum, or interesting pokemon in apricorn balls, reccomended high IV trades just so that you're not screwing them over!

Funny thing, I started post game with a little over 70% of the cells... Then looked up on IGN for a list of locations for the remaining 30-ish%. Some appear at night only, and some during the day only. It helps to travel through the ultra wormhole at the alter on poni island if you don't want to wait.

X and y feel unfinished and zygarde was the missing link just like with every pokemon game.. and i really like zygarde and its forms its really cool. My favorite part about the Zygarde side quest though has got to be the fact that Dexio and Sina just sorta shove their assignment off to this kid so they can just kinda go off and vacation. Like 'Oh youre an island challenger?! That means youre gonna be going around the whole region including the nasty hard to traverse places we dont want to go! So you go look for Zargarde cells in dark oppressing gross caves, freezing cold mountains, the literal headquarters of a criminal organization, and other crappy places. Meanwhile we'll go and look for cells inside of beachfront bikini bars, luxury hotels, golden sandy beaches, and other nice places which arnt relevant to your island challenge. That way we'll cover everywhere by working together!~'

that police station outside of po town isn't actually an exception! that's where nanu lives, and you can even find him there either after becoming champion or after the ub hunt (i'm guessing the latter but have no idea since i've already done both). so the cores outside your bedroom really are all in the houses of the kahunas.
