By the way, can you make a video about going into management or finance manager vs staying as a salesman? Andy El has a descent video on it, but it too fluffed up, can you make one? I’m sure I’m not the only one that would love to get your point of view

Starting at a dealership Saturday. Kind of nervous but excited! Any tips??

If you’re doing something new, you should be nervous, but that’s a sign. You’re growing learn something or sell something every day if you didn’t sell something make sure you learn something. If you didn’t learn something you better have been selling something. I hope that helps. That’s all that matters.

Real sales people do outside sales. Any form of inside sales is simply one step above “do you want fries with that?” We all have to start somewhere as salespeople and selling cars is a way to start. Just don’t get fooled into thinking this is “real” sales.
@tonyswedberg6 ай бұрын
Definitely real sales turning shoppers into buyer generating traffic building relationships for referrals knowing what car to get them approved on list is endless
@smhdbsbdfusydbfjshdb6 ай бұрын
I respect your opinion, we just look at things differently. Inside sales is about how many sandwiches can I sell in a day. Outside sales is how many people I can get to come back and buy my sandwiches again. Also, I was a 20+ car a month sales guy for a summer a few years back. Not hating, just saying that these “tactics” only work on a short sales timeline and does not build relationships for the long term. Just a difference between inside and outside sales.

Yo tony. I haven’t sold cars in over 3 years cuz of a dui. When I got it I quit Toyota and went to rehab when I was done no one would hire me. Do you think enough times past where I could get hired again?
@tonyswedberg6 ай бұрын
If you’re really impressive at the interview the GM can still hire you but you can’t drive the cars I’ve seen it done
@SeanDrinks6 ай бұрын
If you have dui’s you’re fine but you need to shine like a star and make them not want to say no. Everyone got problems. Turn that into a benefit. You won’t have an attitude and leave because you can’t. You’re humbled and will owe him a hire he can count on and someone solid. If you’re that and can pull 20-30 for all the wood then you’re ahead of 80% of the guys
