thank you for the video! you said the you are using sand paper for prepolish, so after that you are going to polish with the cloth buffs?
@MelissaMuir6 ай бұрын
Yes. Or a soft cotton buff with some polishing compound

Melissa, when washing in between, is it sufficient to just dip in a sudsy bowl, rinse, dry and then move on, or do you need to take to sink and rub with soap? TIA
@MelissaMuir3 жыл бұрын
That is a really good question. Taking it to a sink is probably best. But as long as you get all of the compound off between stages, you should Be good with what you are doing.

Make sure it is nice and dry, and use a different cloth to dry for the different phases so you don’t accidentally put some abrasive particles back onto the piece before moving on.

What would happen if you go over 5,000 RPM with the sanding drums?
@MelissaMuir Жыл бұрын
It can cause the mandrel to bend and cause a dangerous situation. And I have seen the sand paper unravel, but there was more to it than just the speed.

Do they have ones wrapped for lefties? Thank you for all of your info.

@@MelissaMuir Should not run them in reverse you need to run with the wrap or they can split and tear

pijnto that is true. I guess I was thinking something else. Sorry.
