I LOVE your videos. My gelding that I had for 20 years had to be put down in August due to a tumor. It was so quick. A week later, I had the opportunity to get a wonderful mare - only 11 years old. Very well trained. My old boy was more whoa than go & this girl is more go than whoa. -- I've used your videos for re-training myself to build a relationship with my new girl. -- It's been so much fun investing the time with her. The old horse could "read my mind." -- I really like this video speaking of lunging if necessary, on a trail ride. -- My horse chooses me -- even in the pasture when she's free sometimes. We are heart to heart connected -- but on the trail, she wants to be stuck to the lead horse & ignore me. -- I turn 73 soon -- I like to "run" too - but want to feel connected. I tend to overreact when she begins some of incorrect behavior. -- Relationship doesn't happen overnight. -- With your videos, I have her coming to the mounting block. She moves her hindquarters. We're working on side passing. Thank you for being so open with information!

Your really helpful, I’m in the process of backing a healthy 22 year old Swedish warm blood to be my new cross country horse and you’ve helped me so so much. I retried lunging and he basically took off with my poor finger

So I’m a beginner rider. So I’ve had my forth lesson recently, in my third lesson we went over these poles on the ground (walking over them) and I couldn’t get my horse to pick up his feet, so his feet would just hit the poles a little. I was wondering if you could do a video on that! Also I love your channel, it helps me learn so much about how to take care of a horse, how to mount, how to dismount etc

Sit up straight, shorten ur reins (if they are to long) shoulders back relax ur legs and your horse should do the rest most importantly ask ur lesson instructed because they will know the horse better than u :)

This is kind of unrelated to the video, but my horse and I need help and your videos really help. My mare has seemed like she doesn't want to work. I've had her for about 4 or 5 months but I've known her my entire life. It's like we've hit a brick wall and it really sucks because the barn that is closest to us doesn't currently have a trainer... She'll trot and walk and do alot of things for me but she doesn't walk with me unless you put pressure on her hindquarters. She respects me and is comfortable around me but doesn't want to work for me. I am going to be soon having on the ladies from my barn give me a little lesson to help us hopefully. Have any suggestions?

Whenever I do the gait changes on my horse she gets mad and acts up, but with more training she’ll probably do better. I’ve had her for maybe only a month now and she’s an older horse who was kind of spoiled do you have any tips for a spoiled horse?😂
@lynnethwinter38163 жыл бұрын
My horse struggled with gait changes too (throwing his head and struggling into them). Turns out his back was sore so we did a lot of back strengthening exercises. After he saw a chiropractor too he was a totally different horse. Don't know if that helps!

I have a very hard time getting the horses attention where I live. When I call out their names to get them to come to me they're out there in the pasture but not too far away where they can't hear my voice, and when I try to get them to come to me they like ignore me and continue to graze as if they don't hear me talking to them. How can I actually get them to come to me and get their attention on me?
@mzrcelinz49453 жыл бұрын
Is it just me who can imagine the texture of Tucker's (idk how to spell) nose?!?! It reminds me of the nose of a mare I used to ride XD
