If I remember, my prior research, degreaser does not cut carbon but simple green does. I submerged an EGR a few days and it worked. Love the testing troubleshooting part!!

I put in a crown auto one, failed after 2 weeks, then replaced with an Advance Auto one and a Dorman tube, so far, so good after a year and a half.

Nice.. It's not really the pintle that get's stuck, it's the shaft above it, where it goes through the bushing. It just builds a little layer of crud until it seizes. If there was a way to pull the motor apart from it easily, you could run a drill bit or sand paper down the little bushing, and clean the shaft really well; But the Ultrasonic seemed to get the bulk of it anyway.

Gumout Carb and Choke Cleaner would have been my first choice.

What kind of ultrasonic solution are you using?

The main tank is water and what was in the cup was degreaser and the sound will transfer from the water through the cup and into the degreaser, that way you don't have to dirty up the tank.

I'm surprised that ultrasonic cleaner is doing anything at all. Plastic is a vibration insulator. Would have been better if it was glass.

Oh no the vibration of the sound goes right through the plastic bottle and works great. Sometimes I will even put stuff in zip-lock bags. Glass might actually block the sound waves from being transmitted into the liquid inside because the glass isn't going to vibrate the way thin plastic will. I don't but it might be worth doing a test.
