Hi Ambrish, thanks for your feedback brother :) Regarding to your question, to keep it simple, when an employer in need of a role, first they will look for a candidate who is in onshore and if they didn’t get that easily, then they will move for talents from overseas. So it depends on various factors like skills, demand, how you represent yourself in the best way through profile and your asking rate, etc etc!

Regarding to your question, really depends on your skill sets and how demand it is so that an employer can hire you leaving all other locals who are trying for a job being here in Australia. I would recommend you to look for PR option, do IELTS/PTE, Skill Assessment and apply for PR. Also try applying jobs through seek.com.au with a nice profile and cover letter. Yeah bro.. Canberra is all about federal government departments and so without citizenship it’s hard to get job. But there are state government jobs and other private sector jobs too. If you have PR you can get a job but it will take time. Connect with recruiters in LinkedIn and other platforms, keep apply for jobs

Always best to do ground work and then come here. Prepare nice profile and cover letter, apply for jobs from overseas itself and see how you go. Use LinkedIn quite extensively for approaching recruiters and get a wrap up with them for future/current updates. It will be helpful when you come here if you couldn’t get a job from overseas.

Hi Jayalakshmi, thanks for your feedback. Teaching job is very HIGH demand job in any country at the moment so don’t worry you have a very high skill in that regards. As far as I know, to do teaching in Australia you should hold either bachelor or masters degree in teaching and you need to prove your English knowledge through IELTS or other approved tests to be eligible for a visa sponsorship from universities or to migrate on your own and start teaching. Hi sir.. I have applied skills assessment in VETASSESS.. They assessed my profile and gave positive outcome.. But VETASSESS gave only 1.85 years deemed skill work experience outside Australia.. But I really have 8.5years working experience.. Can I claim points for 8years in EOI?

Hi Narayanan, sorry to hear about that! Very disappointing to see that they have assessed only for 1.85 years! Regarding to your question, You cannot actually claim something different than what you actually got from Skill assessing body like VETASSESS! Home affairs won’t accept that. I would suggest you to review their decision if it’s within 90 days period with more supporting documents, proving your 8.5 years experience!
