Yes …you need to have a significant amount of money on your bank statement that is ideally more than your COA .This helps your story be more convincing .

I got admission to Governors state university for spring 2025 with no funding, so I had to defer to fall 2025 in order to get funding by sending mails to the student affairs office of the school but I've not received any response yet. How do I go about it.

Email the Graduate coordinator and introduce yourself and tell them you want to be considered for funding. After that keep emailing on update on what you spoke about
