How to get a medal on Titania - Star Fox 64 Complete Medal Guide

This is my complete guide on how to collect all of the medals on Star Fox 64. This walk-through takes a look at each level individually and shows you all of the tips and tricks you'll need to acquire the medals for yourself! Going for the medals in Expert mode and this one was the hardest thus far. Even with seven lives I had to restart and get back to Titania to try again. Managed to get to kill the boss but barely scraped by. Only reason I won was because I saved a single bomb to hit it in the heart with. Your video showed just how much one decimates its health and with the damage I took it out the first opening of the cage. Btw those also playing expert, quick tip: laser fire can hurt your teammates, but not bombs. Can't remember if this is also true for normal mode.

I read on the Star Fox 64 website that if you fire a bomb at the robot chucking rocks at you on the right hill there’s a chance you can hit the other robots as well, I’ve actually tried it out myself and it works, just thought I might share this old, probably somewhat forgotten knowledge with all of you

Haskie, you just keep me coming back! You were there for me years ago when I did my first medal run to unlock Expert mode, and you're here for me now as I grind my way through Expert on the path to 100%. Titania is the second to last medal I need, the last is Sector Z (big surprise). One positive thing about tank levels on Expert mode is there's no danger of losing your wings or lasers, so I'm hoping Titania will be more or less the same as normal mode save for taking extra damage. Thanks again for this fantastic series.

Thanks for checking out the series again 😀. Yes it's definitely a big plus that you can't lose your wings while on the Landmaster levels, and since the tank always has the same laser/attack, you can easily start the level over and give the medal another try without being at a disadvantage (when you restart a Arwing level your forced to with a single laser which can make things much tougher - Sector Z is really hard because of this). It's been a long time since I've played Expert mode on Titania but I'm pretty sure there are some extra packs of enemies in the air as well, good luck!

There are some corridor or scrolling modes that Slippy can escape from one or more enemies on his or her tail. They are: Corneria: Yes. Meteo: Yes. Sector X: No, during the boss fight, and Fox must destroy Spyborg within 5-10 seconds for a second phase before Slippy does fail to destroy Spyborg. Sector Y: Yes. Solar: Yes. Zoness: No. & Area 6: No.

Did you notice those 2 gold rings side by side? Well, it is actually possible to get them both, simply get the one on the bridge first, then immediately barrel roll to get the other one

It is technically possible to still get points if you lock onto a land mine, but only if a valid enemy is caught in your charge shot’s blast radius, otherwise no dice, but this is only possible in a few instances and requires proper timing, so don’t want your time on destroying those land mines unless they’re directly in your path, but you can also just dodge them anyway, in fact those land mines will likely be a big pet peeve if you’re going for the medal, as the can take up your only lock on at the moment and if you drive right over them the blast will knock you off course and mess up your aim, plus you’ll take damage from them

Also, even though they’re not worth any points keep an eye out for cacti dotted throughout the level, they may be worthless in terms of points but they quite often contain supply rings, so shoot them if you’re low on health

Sometimes Slippy said to Fox, "Can you handle this Fox?" After free Slippy from the clutches of the boss in Titania by shooting down three limbs that is not holding Slippy. It does happen in the second form of the boss battle in Titania. It change from blue numbers which stand at 168 kill point to orange. Be sure not accidentally shoot at Peppy and Falco, since they don't have much health in their life gauge appeared below their allies. It does go to 179 or 174 kill points if you take too long to defeat the boss in Titania. Getting a medal in this level is not as easy as it's sound in some levels.

After freeing Slippy from the boss battle, then Slippy will give the information by displaying the boss' shield gauge appeared on the left side of the screen. Slippy said to Fox, "Data analysis complete. Here it comes."

Isn't true that a player can get 200 or more points in Titania in the expert mode in Star Fox 64 and get a medal? Since there are more enemies in expert mode then in normal mode to shoot down for more kill points by either using charged up laser shots or use a bomb to destroy all the enemies that is appeared on the screen. Make sure the player have at least 8 bombs when entering Titania, you will need it a bit later in Titania. There are 2 free bombs early in this level to pick up with your Landmaster Tank. It is recommended to use a barrel roll as of G-diffuser to repel the enemy's shots to avoid the damage, and braking is very helpful to blast away the enemies for a good timing to get a high points and going for a medal.

Once I have gotten a medal in Titania, I will never go to Titania again. In Sector X, I have to fire laser at the boss, Spyborg constantly, especially in the second phase when Spyborg losses half of his life to avoid Slippy to jump ahead of you to help you out, don't do it and it is not so hard to do to defeat Spyborg, if I am going for a medal if Peppy and/or Falco are alive either in Fortuna (Fichina) or in Katina. Getting a medal is fairly easy in Sector X, but it is hard getting a medal in Titania. But I did gotten a medal in Titania when I was playing Star Fox 64 about 18 to 20 years ago. Star Fox 64 sure bring back the memories, when I used to played it.

The only other thing that I can think of is that you need both Falco and Peppy alive at the end of the level.

Ah I'm sorry, yeah you need to have everyone alive to get a medal on a level. That goes for all stages not just Titania. I never mentioned this is any of the guides and it's a really important part of collecting medals. Years later I'm still kicking myself for that big mistake.
