Star Fox 64: Titania Stage: Single Easy Path to Bolse

This follows Sector X if you allow (and I do mean "allow") Slippy to be knocked away by that level's secret weapon robot into Titania. Even if you take a harder route in Sector X and switch back to its easy one, Slippy will STILL need to be rescued.
The remaining members of Star Fox head to the desert planet Titania to save him. Again, apparently, as based on Falco's dialogue at the end, this happens A LOT.
Slippy is now confirmed to be the Princess Peach of Star Fox. That explains the voice.
Fox utilizes the 'LAAAAAAAANNDAHMAAAAASTAAAAAAAAH!'... to get find and save Slippy.
Falco seems to have a personal issue with the effectiveness of the Landmaster's tank. Fox calls Falco's bluff of being in the tank himself, but personally, Falco prefers the air. This would stick with him all the way up to Falco's appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where he ironically gets to use the Landmaster himself.
"I think you look better in a tank." Said Falco
"Why don't you come down here, Falco?" Spoke Fox
"I'll pass, Fox..." Bemoaned Falco
"He can sure be a pain in the neck." Said Falco to himself.
Cue Fox driving through giant ribcages. Maybe Falco meant that a little bit deeper than he thought...

1:04 -Judging from how fast Fox was to snap back at Falco’s snarky jab, it seems he’s not too fond about using the Landmaster either. 🤣 Kinda also remember my dad struggling with the Landmaster levels too. 😆 I myself had trouble with them, but grew to enjoy the Landmaster, but my only complaint was that it defaults you to Single Laser, and your previous Laser power-ups on your Arwing don’t cross over when you’re back in the air.

Oh, by the way, the thing I like with Titania is that you are fighting against a monster. Not an evil madman in a big machine or a giant robot. But when I'm thinking about it, you are also fighting against a monster in Aquas and Solar too :)

The monsters in Aquas and Solar were confirmed bioweapons made by Andross. This is very likely a bioweapon but it could also be a native creature. (It was never made clear.)

Blake Blast: That makes much since. (Especially since it shoots lasers.) But also take in account the bones and skulls littered all over the planet. Could they be the same bioweapons or were they native beast that the Venom army tried to wipe out/died out some time ago and the boss was just one that happened to still be alive?

Matt Arnold Oh, like in sector x. Also most of Andross' forces being AI, that could be interesting since they all seem to be very aerodynamically basic and linear in their flight patterns in most levels.

I prefer this planet over Macbeth, more fun and more points. Not being able to go into Area 6 is the sole reason that keeps me away from this place.

To this day, after more than a decade that I played and trained to get WRs in the levels, I still get emotional with this section of the game. Slippy tries to show that he is good as the rest of the team in Sector X, but he isn't a good fighter; he is an amazing tech support. So much so that the life bar of the boss disappear when Slippy is hit. But the team immediately responds when he is thrown into Titania. The ending of the Sector X is such a hard thing. It is subtle, but I always get emotional. Fox doesn't want to know anything about that secret weapon, of the reports of his team. He just wants to know Slippy's location with ROB. Falco keeps his jokes about Slippy. When getting here, in the middle of the stage when Peppy says that "Don't ne dead, Slip", it still hits me hard even playing this game for so many years. They don't know if he is alive anymore. But they are there for him. And the surprise to receive a call of Slippy in the end is amazing. As soon as you (Fox) helps him out, he analyses the enemy giving you the life bar and, before that, Peppy with its experience says how to kill the thing. This game is a atemporal masterpiece!

As much as we joke about Slippy being a shitty pilot and always needing saving. I think a large majority of us overlooked the fact this boss fight alluded to. Without Slippy being in the mix, we had no clue what the bosses health was. While Slippy may not have been a skilled pilot, they definitely offered another skill with their data scans and analysis for the team that kept him around.

This is worse because you can't fight Andross's true form, where as in Aquas, you go to Zones which is fairly easy, and you can choose Sector Z, or play it safe and go to Macbeth to wreck the train and destroy the base leading to Area 6.

PikaFlare Notice how both levels heavily involve Slippy (as he invented the Blue-Marine). I think the developers are trying to tell us something... The worst part about this level to me is the lag. It really screws up your charge shots and the terrain messes with aiming your bombs. The lock-on cursor also seems to prioritize those stupid land mines. Even when you're aiming directly at an enemy, the mines that happen to be way off to the side somehow get targeted instead. All that being said, I like the idea of this level. Titania has fallen completely under Andross's control. There's nothing to recover, nothing to salvage. Whatever may have been on this planet before has been destroyed or captured by the enemy. The fact that this level always leads to the bad ending is kinda symbolic if you think about it. The ruined state of Titania serves as a sign of things to come.

I thought that the tank had the worst steering. But when I tried the Blue-Marine in Aquas, I always died at least once in that underwater stage. What I'm trying to say is: Aquas is the worst stage in the game and Titania is one of my favorites :)

guaskoqizz It's pretty ironic that the "easy" Landmaster level has you constantly dealing with uneven terrain, while the "medium" Landmaster level is mostly flat. Makes you wonder if the levels were switched around late in development.

They should have had Macbeth on the Easy route, Sector Z on the Medium, and Titania on the Hard, because I even find Sector Z easier than Titania, but hard than Macbeth. Very ironic. Titania is the hardest of the Level 5s, yet it's on the easy route, while Macbeth is the easiest if you wreck the train into the base, and it's on the medium path. Yeah, the Level 5s should be switched around.

Chris9017 I don't know. I don't think Venom's main army supply base should be an "easy" level. Sector Z is easy unless you're going for a medal, so that should have been the "easy" stage 5. Keep Macbeth the "normal" stage 5. Make it so that Slippy no longer crashes on Titania, but have the reason be that Fox wants to surprise the enemy by approaching Area 6 from this super dangerous planet, justifying the whole stealth element on Zoness.

It's MUCH MUCH WORSE if you go there (Titania) from Zoness. Slippy tries to defeat the Zoness boss himself, but get instantly defeated (Cannon shot) from the the Boss. Causing him to crash all the way to Titania.
