You can only apply only and you’ll receive the approval letter through your email. And, then you’ll take this along with you when you’re traveling to Nigeria. You cannot do in person, be careful!

Thank you so much for this video. I renewed my passport earlier this year and was told it’ll be mailed out but it’s still not here. I have called and sent emails but no response. I need to travel home in about 2 weeks so I not sure if I should either apply for visa on arrival or apply for normal visa. However, with the normal visa, I still have to travel to DC and that’s a long travel for me especially since I’ve been calling that office too and no one is answering the call so I just don’t want to show up and they send me back. I can’t even travel with my expired passport because they have that at the embassy too and was supposed to mail it with the new one. I just want to know which one you’d advise I do please. How can we have proof if we haven't reached the payment section yet. But I have to assume it's all in one. And also the letter of introduction portion. Inform your subscribers that it is actually letter of introduction (from applicant) and not from the company or other person.

Yes, you can travel with your expired passport as long as you have your country of residence valid passport. In this case, let’s say you’re a Canadian citizen with Nigerian dual citizenship. Yes, you can fill out the visa on arrival form on the Nigerian immigration website and upload necessary documents. You’re fine. But, if you don’t have a citizenship of the country you presently reside, you’ll simply need to get a travel certificate.

If you’re from countries like Ghana, Cotonou, Cameroon and other west African countries you do not need a visa. But, if you’re a U.S Citizen coming to visit Nigeria you do need a visa and you will need an invitation letter to complete the Visa on arrival application.
