Another Great Video Ron! Thanks for the advice on growth regulator on the edges! Just like you said in Georgia, the heat and rain in Alabama makes my Bermuda edges creep on the side walk with a vengeance! Seems like my edges are stronger and it takes 3 passes sometimes to get that crisp edge! I think it's time for a stronger edger string and blade! 😁 Thanks again Ron! Blessings!
@RonHenry4 жыл бұрын
Glad to help Donnell. Growth regulator isn't something a lot of people consider when it comes to edging and it can make a serious difference in how long your edge looks nice. With as much work as you put into getting a clean edge, I think you'd really like the results from PGR. Let me know if I can help with anything else. 👍😎

I still love those curved sidewalks! I use a blade edger too gives such a nice look. Although with 4 weeks of 90’s I stopped edging my KBG because the edges along sidewalks were stressing. Now looking better but a bit overgrown, get back to sharp edges when things cool down.

That's a good point lawn Journeys. I didn't think about the potential stress to the turf for cool season grass.

My wife always said "why do you have to edge the yard after you mow?" I told her its the same concept of putting on tire shine on your tires after a car wash. It just makes it POP. Also, that top dressing has filled in really nice! Loving it.

It's coming along pretty nicely Everett. I'm still going to release the videos showing the recovery process but wanted to get this one on edging out.

I told my son it’s like getting a haircut. Lawn mowing is like using the clippers. String trimmer is like using the scissors to clean everything up and edging like like getting that line up to make it all come together. What’s a haircut without the line up?

Thanks for this update two things I would like to see, maybe a part 2 ? I’d like to see you doing the task, maybe a review on using a Home Depot rental edger, and I would have liked to see a ground level at the sidewalk of how the edging looks when it’s healthy. I see a lot of people edge in my neighborhood and the quality of the looks varies some people have a lot of grass roots showing other look manicured. I just want to perfect the art and need a little more insight. Thank u for your hard work
@RonHenry4 жыл бұрын
No problem at all Sativa. You asked about edging a few weeks ago which is why I made this video. I’ll crest a follow up actually doing the edging work so you can see. I thought about it for this one but it would have been really noisy. That’s why I went for more of an explanation approach. 😎 Thanks again for watching.

Ron folks who have healthy lawns like u and me u know soft soil “real grass”. Lol. Well Huscavarna has a battery powered edger works like a dream! So rz so light weight and so powerful, relatively quite compared to gas also. The extreme light weight is what i love and when doing edges is something u habe to be precise and focus on. The huscarvarna battery operated edger is the only thing that should be owned and used! The gas yard tools are almost a thing of the past. Imo. Just wanted to recommend to try it sir youll love it. Huscarvarna 325ilx.

Ron Henry totally hear ya Ron. But you have a very solid platform and do a very nice job w it. Imo id imagine that you could contact even w all thats going on w this “Lie” virus mess. Id bet if you were to contact and even ask your viewers to also recommend you to the companys Stihl, Huscarvarna, ez go, green works ect but you could get a company to sponsor all the battery tools as there what is the Future (now). You do a damn nice job with the channel and your vids and hands down deserve or are worthy of such a sponsorship. Thanks Ron and all the best sir. Brian

I just purchased a rotor scissors attachment for my Ego multi-tool. It works really well, and prevents the 'browning' effect that using a line trimmer attachment was creating. Just nice clean cuts that are nice a crisp. Plus it kicks up way less debris than the string trimmer.

I don't know if it's the fact that I have cheap equipment, or it's because I have a bad back, but I sometimes have a problem even with my blade edger, and If I use my line trimmer, it's just a disaster. Does a blade edger do a better job? definitely.

Great video!!! Quick ? For u. I always hear people say to push your lawn during the spring. What exactly does that mean? Lots of nitrogen, or just basic nutrients for the lawn?
@RonHenry4 жыл бұрын
What they're referring to is adding f nitrogen and the other macro nutrients to cause the lawn to grow in and green up faster. In the spring warm season grasses are coming out of dormancy so ensuring that the turf has everything it needs to be healthy makes good sense. Does that help?
@mr.greenthumb42934 жыл бұрын
Perfect sense! That’s what I thought and so I did. I thought I pushed it way too much because my lawn was growing like crazy. It got out of hand to the point where I had to keep raising the deck and now I’m at 3 1/2 inches. That was before I found out about the PGR that you did a video on and it really helped reduce the growth rate.

Totally Mr. Green thumb. PGR is amazing stuff. It’s a great addition to any serious lawn care program.

Clay Godshalk I also got the 91R, and I have several attachments. I have the weed trimmer, edger, reciprocator, and bed redefiner. They all work perfect and never get bogged down with work I do (personal residential lawn). If you’re not doing anything commercial the 91R should run any attachment you can put on it with plenty of power. Been using it since the beginning of growing season this year. I use it at least 3 times a week. So far no issues. It is quite beefy, and I’ve seen professionals using Kombis as well.

You can have a bad looking lawn but a good trimming can improve the look! In my neighborhood only about 10% home owner has a good looking and I think it is much less. A great looking lawn can add $3000.00 value to your home if trying to sell. People who see a great lawn thinks home was taking care of too.
@RonHenry4 жыл бұрын
I never considered that D S but it does make sense. If the lawn is being neglected, it's unlikely that the rest of the house was well taken care of. At least that's the perception. Yet another reason to ensure you do a good job edging the lawn right? :-)
