I was looking into some BK-21 postdoc positions in materials science I graduated with an EngD (Engineering Doctorate) from the UK (home country) in 2021. Went to work in the industry afterward as a metallurgist & trainee technical manager. But I really want to work abroad, and postdocs seem to be the easiest option! Is it possible to transition into academia from industry within Korea? I don't have any publication records sadly (the EngD program does not make it compulsory, we have other hurdles like satisfying our industrial partners, etc). I graduated from a fairly high ranking institution (Cranfield University, 27th global ranking in Mechanical Engineering).

Hello Sir, I am an Electrical Engineering Graduate with 6.71 DGPA and Currently I am doing my Masters in International Finance and Economics from the University of Macerata, Italy with 80% marks, can I apply for a Phd program in South Korea in Economics. Is there any chance to get accepted with these marks in the Phd program.

Yes it is highly likely. You need to contact professors. Korea is encouraging social science research.

You have to check with the fellowships concerned. They will specify an age limit if one exists.
