@janelleaisha: madam dentist, I still disagree to @how to dad. Because he brushed her daughter's teeth horizontally. I experienced gum abrasion. My dentist said that it happen due to the wrong way to brush teeth that is brushing teeth horizontally. My dentist said I must always brush my teeth vertically to avoid gum abrasion.

Kilbenni Dabukke oh dear. Sorry to hear that. If you brush for too long or too hard then that can happen. In children a gentle scrub will not cause that sort of damage

I feel like my philosophy as a parent aligns with his kind of. My son is almost three but I talk to him like he's at least twice that age. You'd be surprised how your kids will rise to the expectation when you treat them like a person and model respect for them. ❤️

@KatieMaybeKatie You are right and I agree it's also amazing but I would say don't constantly treat them with this attitude it drags the overall mental wellness. The reason I am saying this because it's really sad for a kid when he realises that he was not a kid when he was meant to be a kid just because his parents were expecting too much to them to be wise like an man. In conclusion it is a very powerful tool that parents have and they should use it wisely. Using it too much will cause damage and bad growth. I am telling you this because I have a good experience of it and it really makes me sad.

I feel like treating kids like adults would work, but seeing as I don’t have kids I have no authority on the matter
@formerlycringe4 жыл бұрын
I mean tbh i see babies as being treated as either expensive objects (pampered to hell with the baby voice, usually ends up spoiled to hell early on in life) or abused pets (talked to like they're a criminal/did something wrong, beaten). I feel like if I would have a kid, I'd probably re-produce seeing what this dad has done and talk to my child like a normal everyday person. If only I had the ability to talk to people 😭
