I did B.Tech from a local college (never wanted to be part of a rat race) with 4/4 equivalent (gold medalist) and now going to pass research based master's from McGill University (infamous for tough scoring) with 4/4 gpa again. Yes. US Unis do not need MS degree for PhD. However, there will be intense coursework in the first 2 years of your PhD and then you will have 3 years for research.

may be other applicants still had stronger profiles. Just because one university did not let you in, does not mean you cannot succeed. Some other university will give you a chance.

Sir, my BBA CGPA is 2.50(76% marks) out of 4. My University GPA policy is different than others. Like 73-76 marks Grade C+ means gpa 2.3. And 93+ marks mean 4 gpa. I have more than 1 years work experience. IELTS 6.50. May I apply with this low CGPA?
