Scorpion shoots them back up in the corner and I try to micro dash back to the original side of the combo and end up missing the lantern timing. I was trying with close and normal Scorp cameo. Any tip to get a consistent lantern input side?

Love the length as well trying to learn a 20-40 minute guide can feel like such a chore everytime you upload genuinely makes me want to get on MK1. while i do agree for beginners it is better but if u want to actually get into competitive play or tournament play in this game u should learn button notation as it is universal so u really won’t have to learn individual inputs for characters u would just know the notation for each input so you’ll be able to understand other characters faster and easier

Holy Christ these combos are NASTY. Li Mei is fun to play, but I feel like most players block the 1,2,4 and 2,1 strings so these rarely lead to full combos for me. That’s been my experience in Kombat league at least. Either way, great video!

To play li mei u really wanna just pressure them alot with the 1,2 and then grab them til till they get impatient and u do 1'2 back dash and u can sometimes catch them with the low if they keep on blocking just grab them

Another banger guide 🐐🐐 Ive found that playing right out of jumping distance is a range that alot of players feel uncomfortable in Her b3 and f4 into ex blast really does some nasty business to eager players moving towards you. Both safe and I was getting just about 30ish for a bar for every hit confirm. As li mei frost you gotta be stingy with kameo bar (for her orb setups) but with scorpion being able to spend the bar and a kameo to get a whole 49% off her b3/f4 ex blast hit cons is insane business Also a niche tip After nova blast, you can dash under your opponent and catch them with 43 db3 for clean sideswitch.

Nice guide! You can do 4% more damage with db4 in air with j134 db4. You also can punish pokes with db3 with amp db3 kameo(you should press it very fast) b34 db3 kameo db2 j134 db4. Different kombo route, not better than yours, just to show off with different combos:) 12 bf1 amp b34 db3 kameo 34 db3 kameo db1 j212 db4. You also can use fatal blow after db2 in these combos, but you need you need your opponent to fly really high after the db2

A ton of these were tough and I wanted to make this more beginner friendly. I struggled to execute a full j134 into flipping heel kick with some of the gravity scaling. Punishing pokes into scorpion damn near feels impossible with the 4 less frames of hit advantage you get from enhanced shi zi. Def appreciate all the tips though! Will try my best to implement!

Nicely made video. I uploaded high damage combo, but i doubt i could execute a description vid as good as this. Love seeing Li Mei gameplay, maybe bc i like seeing folks getting hit with lanterns. I liked using Li n Scorpion for a bit, but i kept messing up my Kam calls when it came to switching sides and remembering whether to use far, mid, or close fireball. Went back to Li n Cyrax (da GOAT) and found some easy 50%ers using corner, can check shorts on channel. Trying to use Li n Lao currently for the low hit assist. Found a few 34-40ish dmg combos for mid screen and corner.

I think scorpion is really her best assist I've seen some high level players like foxy Grandpa use lao because it makes her a more well-rounded character but when you're getting over 400 damage you really are being a better character. Using a cameo just to get an extra hundred damage is one thing but literally doubling or tripling your damage puts you in another tier

Another thing and i hope im not bothering you but do you manage to do her reversal combo in the right corner with scorpion? Because i manage to do it midscreen and in the left corner. But in the right corner the exact same inputs as in the left corner dont seem to connect.

@@thomas4489 I’m gonna be honest I struggle a bit in the right corner because weird side switches happen. Left corner is always fine. Input wise I guess I haven’t had much issue there tho. And trust me, you’re never bothering me!

any tips for the timing on the b3, 4 for the 1 bar 1 kameo strings. i my opponent just flies over my head or the 4 misses, everything else is so easy. great vid btw

i find stand 4,3 easier than b3,4

I agree with what Shawn is saying. 43 is easier but b34 does more damage. Start entering back 3 when the opponent is at head level.

I looovveeee the counter zoning. Helps with people that use Lao Kameo. I also like how you can confirm into freeze but the damage is kind of lacking and you can’t really pressure a ton. Still think he’s really solid though!

I’m ashruh main and she’s pretty easy to execute , this is fast finger stuff and cameo direction awareness and map positioning. It’s gonna take a lot of work lol

Great guide. Dope combos. It is stupid as hell though that you can't dial the chain reaction in the longer combos. If you input chain reaction to quickly then calculated comes out instead. Dunno why thats like that

I've been absolutely loving Li Mei & Scorpion. Just about anything is a combo starter and she hits quite damn hard too. The only things she can't do is combo off of back throw and armor.

Funnily enough you can still get multiple consecutive lanterns if they don't hit the opponent while li mei's still holding them. For example: 124 cancel into lantern and far scorp when 2 connects. After that lantern explodes, you can toss another, then another, though by then the gravity makes it hard to continue the combo. That's just a wacky example, but in nearly all of her combos with the free lantern setup, if you time scorp a bit earlier you'll be able to whip out more lanterns, as long as they don't explode in your hand. I hope they don't nerf that 😂

Trying to get her down, struggling a bit to feel comfortable with her. Scorpion is great if you get the setups timed right. But sometimes I feel like my hands are tied, like if your not getting those down, its like a wasted kameo spot. Guess it comes down to more practice.
