IMPORTANT: Beacons in the overworld or end dimension need a clear path to the sky in order to work. Beacons in the nether need a clear path to the bedrock on the nether roof in order to work. Great video! I think there are a couple of items you missed: 1) beacons need an unobstructed path to the sky (or bedrock ceiling in the nether) and 2) it doesn't matter what tool you use to mine the beacon.

I never realised that it doesn’t matter what material you use to build the beacon (iron block, gold etc) or which ingot you use to activate it. Thought using netherite would some how give you a better beacon 🙈 will be iron from now on 😂
