Forget the moisture in your hair, can we talk about this GLOW on your skin!!! ✨✨

I've been keeping my twists in my hair 24/7 and moisturize it every 2 days until my next wash day. Really has helped with low manipulation. I also just started back stimulating my edges before bed, so they can go in thicker.

What happens to the oils that you put on everyday? You wet your hair then apply oil. Doesn't the oil build up on your hair and prevent water from penetrating your hair during the week?

My youngest daughter has fine, low porosity hair and only the LCO method works on her hair, whereas my oldest has coarse hair and I have to use the LOC method on her😊😊😊

For drugstore, the deep conditioners from the Garnier Whole Blends line, especially the honey and olive one are *bomb*! And they don't break the bank! If someone is looking for a good deep conditioner that doesn't cost that much (about 4 euro here).

Ooh I needed this & same thing happens for my hair. It doesn't like thick products. Isn't refreshing or moisturizing everyday or other too much manipulation? I was just curious because I've done it in the past but I didn't know if that was the correct thing.
@PowerInYourCurl7 жыл бұрын
+doThatGWalk for me, moisturizing 2x a day is still low manipulation because I moisturize by spritzing the air around my hair with a water based Leave in and then applying just a small amount of oil to my hair gently. It takes 20 seconds and is very little manipulation. Now refreshing does require more manipulation because you are fully saturating your hair and styling you hair, if you are looking to maintain low manipulation I would wear your hair in styles that don't require you to refresh during the week (like twists and braids). I hope this helps!

I spritz my hair with water then apply oil and i feel like it makes it even more dry. I have high porosity so Idk how to moisturize it.

Thank you so much for this video!! Do you stay clear of using silicones on your hair or do you just use whatever your hair likes?
@PowerInYourCurl7 жыл бұрын
I stay away from silicones 95% of the time but there are some products I like that have them like the TGIN Honey Miracle Hair Mask - it has a water soluble silicone in it (dimethicone).

Hi! When you do your wash n go, is your hair damp or soaking wet? Have you found one way works better than the other for you? I have LP hair as well.
@PowerInYourCurl7 жыл бұрын
When I do my wash and go's my hair is soaking wet because I have found that when I do the style on damp hair, my hair isn't as moisturized, I don't have as much definition and my hair doesn't last as long.
@Paticakesallday7 жыл бұрын
Soaking wet as in shower dripping wet or rewetting with a water bottle? I'm asking because I have LP, fine hair as well and have been experimenting with different techniques. I also notice that you usually wrap your hair in a t-shirt/towel before you start your hair ( I think lol....) or is that just when you braid or twist your hair? Thank you for responding!!!!
@PowerInYourCurl7 жыл бұрын
Rewetting with a water bottle, I have tried to do my hair in the shower and it is a huge FAIL every single time lol. And yes I always wrap my hair in a t-shirt before styling haha.

TFS I don't quite get the morning and night....if you put it on at night don't you just wake up and repeat what you did 8 hours ago?
@PowerInYourCurl7 жыл бұрын
+D K yes exactly. When your moisture levels are low it helps to lightly moisturize your hair every 8-12 hours so that it can remain "fed" in a sense. Sometimes my hair is so thirsty that I need to moisturize it morning and night. If you feel like your hair doesn't need to be moisturized in the morning, there is nothing wrong with moisturizing once a day at night. Do whatever works for your hair 😊
@slaysariah43596 жыл бұрын
& “refreshing” it makes it frizzy ☹️
@PowerInYourCurl6 жыл бұрын
When I refresh my hair I mist it with water or a leave in, I never spray directly because I don't want to wet my hair which will lead to frizz - I want to just revive it a little bit with the mist. Then sealing with a moisturizing product or sealant is really helpful at minimizing frizz after refreshing.
