L as in L That's exactly what I did. I did it to an IRS (Indian Revenue Scam) scammer. I told him I was getting over strep throat and whispered very softly. I kept asking him if he could hear me and he said, "yes I turned up the volume" and 2 seconds later I let it rip. I was recording it and while I can't be positive when I played it back I swear I heard him throw off his headset.

They may not b able to speak a grammatically correct sentence, BUT THEY ALL KNOW HOW TO STRING A GROUP OF PROFANE WORDS TOGETHER!! Love it! I visualize the little jerks throwing stuff and cursing n their own language after slamming the phone down n frustration. Guess I have no life bc it makes my day to "interact" with some of them. When they call I say only one word, the same word to any of their statements/questions. That word is YES. Whether they r verifying my name or asking the number of my credit card or asking me if I want to go to jail for unpaid taxes. Some hang up, but some of them go crazy. I use the same YES for telemarketers (everybody has to make a living but ...) to IRS scammers. Half the time I can't understand the accent anyway!

That's not good. Scammers record the calls so when you say YES, it is recorded & can be used for other scams. For example, credit cards, etc......your voice was recorded saying YES so it's really hard to dispute. This YES scam was on the news in the USA several times. This new scam uses an auto message that calls people & when the auto message says, CAN YOU HEAR ME, the person says YES. Then the scammers got you. Be safe.
