Thank you SOOOO much! I’ve finally found a channel that explains all this coherently!!! I’ve learned more in 2 videos than I have in two years racing! (To be fair, some of your training I just stumbled into knowing through trail and error) but even with that I’ve learned tons from you! Cheers mate! New subscriber!

Instead of threshold braking, I think I brake less hard, and drag/modulate the brake until I feel comfortable to turn/hit the gas. Thanks. This is helpful.
@DoriN123 жыл бұрын
Not a bad technique, in fact, it's one that I use often. It's kind of hard to relay that in a video, but it's something you'll see a lot of high level drivers do. It's more to do with varying levels of grip throughout the braking zone, which is why it's so hard to give a specific example on how it should be done, as every corner is gonna be a little different. It's up to you to decide how you want to brake to each individual corner, sometimes I'd threshold brake, sometimes I'd modulate the pedal. It's just a matter of experimentation...

Great video, as always. I would like to have seen this demonstrated on non load cell pedals. Reasons being 1) most people that will benefit likely won't have load cell brakes, and 2) the movement of the brake pedal will be a lot more obvious to better understand the concept.
@DoriN123 жыл бұрын
Hey Dion, thanks! In general, there's no difference in how you brake with load cell compared to a potentiometer. Yes, the travel length could be different, but what matters is the input you get in the sim. So whatever you need to do to get to similar levels of inputs would serve you well. Hope it helps 🙂

Hello mate nice and clean and also easy to understand thank you very much I have a question about your pedal. Did you make any changes on iracing because ı usually lock up while breaking on dallara p207
@DoriN123 жыл бұрын
No changes to the settings, but if you're running load cell brakes you need to make sure to set force factor down to 0 in the game settings

Guess this is a stupid question, but I'm asking anyway (asking for a friend): moving BB backwards is higher or lower number? 👀
@aerocross3 жыл бұрын
Usually, brake bias is biased towards the front tires. This means higher number = more to the front

Cheers Mario, my aim here is to keep things short and simple. But in general, all I really do is try to minimize the ABS kicking in, so to not overheat the front tires.
