A couple corrections: 1. Fire Giant does magical damage with its abilities so it’s the only objective which doesn’t do physical. 2. Apparently antiheal working on HP5 was patched very recently which just goes to show you how the game can change. It’s worked on it for 7 years and one patch they change it up. The idea of the video for both is still there - learn how items interact with certain things so that you can value them more or less based on that.
@outso4 жыл бұрын
Actually, fg does both. Its basics (the swings or normal thrown orbs) do physical dmg, while all the other attacks do magical dmg.

19:38 Does executioner actually give percent pen, or does it decrease protections? The way it's written makes it seem like proccing exy would make tanks squishier altogether since any physical source would do more. I'm assuming regular percent pen works the same way for the god who built it, but doesn't actually *remove* the protection from the tank?

@@Scyxurz Exe reduces protections. It workd together with % pen but dows technically make it less effective.

As a new"ish" (been playing for a couple years and watch a lot of SPL since like season 5 worlds), I kind of had an idea of what stats and passives were good for certain gods, but this video gave me a foundation that I can use and just build upon it for specific gods. Like Glad shield vs Berserker's. Ability based, vs auto attack based for hunters. Like for defense stats like phys prot works against towers and phoenixes and such, I learned a lot from this video. Honestly you’re asking for a lot. The best way to learn imo is watching high level smite on Fineokay and Pandacat’s channels, and watching the spl to see how they do it in a competitive setting. The biggest reason it’s a tough topic is because a lot of it is game sense, watching the map, and knowing when you rotations will matter vs just put you behind
@miguelibarra49354 жыл бұрын
Really depends on what role you're playing, what lanes need more pressure, how much pressure you're putting against the opponent in your lane(unless you're a jungler which is a whole other story when it comes to rotations)
@whiterose86014 жыл бұрын
Really the rotation come done to can you further a lead or can you push someone else ahead to give them the best chance to carry you through You don’t want to also rotate unless you can ensure you and your team get some thing out For example if you are a solo laner and you have taken your tier 1 tower earlier then you obviously have options You should push your waves quick and get out to get the most time and the enemy have make a decision they either rotate with you and risk there lane losing or taking damage And In general you should start grouping fairly often after you have a lead to further your lead by pushing or forcing a objective or favorable team fights In the end in comes down to practice and experience which comes in time

I've been playing for about 5 years and have been high masters for the past 4 and have been gm a couple times. And some of my friends who don't play but are interested ask me about the game and for tips. And honestly it takes a lot of time and patience to teach them, especially because I don't like playing casuals AND there weren't many good guides for newer players. A lot of guides tell them WHAT to buy and not WHY which is why I love this guide. As a person with a background in MOBAs(LoL and Smite) the most important and gamechanging revelation(besides learning matchups and how abilities interact with each other) is learning why to build what, and when. I remember way way back about 8 years ago when I started to put the pieces together in league on how to counterbuild and it's one of the best feelings because knowledge really is power especially in MOBAs. I'm droning but basically what I'm trying to say is thank you. Now I'll send all my friends here to learn(I'll obviously still help them out) and maybe someday I can play ranked with them. You've been my favorite SPL player since you hit the scene I LOVE watching good solo laners(I used to study Divios, Omega and Cyclone before he swapped to AD carry) and I knew you had huge potential your debut season. You're literally a short lane machine and I can tell you love the game. Good luck this year Fonz last year was unlucky but I know you and the boys will win this season!

A good topic could be how the positioning and the role of each person changes from early to mid to late game. Some times I feel lost because I don't know where to go. Also another (but more technical) is how farmirng goes, the value of the camps compares to the lane and kills (taking into account sharing). And finally how the stupid minions in lane work and their target logic that I find confusing some time. I hope it helps to give you some ideas. It's nice to a very top player make this analisis, nice video ^^

there are some similar videos out there, usually done by a pro player that specialises in said role. to get an idea of what you should actually be doing in your role, best bet is probably just watch actual high level gameplay if you can’t find a decent guide. different gods play differently obviously, but you can still gage what your role objective is meant to be, before learning specific gods in that role.

Okay one thing to correct. Every God has multiple optimal builds, but it also is based on player style. Like Heim. Some people focus on crit. I prefer to focus on his ability damage, but I also like to fuck around so my optimal build is a bruiser Heim that can dive into a fight and fuck with everyone by eating a lot of damage while abusing Transcendence and mana given by defense items to make up for the lack of power

I was so frustrated that I thought about going autoatk for a moment because by the 15 min mark he was clearing faster than me and stealing my buff every time

Thanks for the guide! Really great info that's hard to find out, love theory crafting. What would you say for "normal" unranked conquests? I mean where team work may be slightly underrated and hard to achieve?
@TheDeathOrange4 жыл бұрын
try playing similarly just add an extra level of caution, if you feel you can’t rely on team calls or backup at the right times etc. farm up best you can and die as little as possible and try direct calls yourself when you’re at least at decent farm and hopefully they listen and shit gets done. play ultra defensive as a back liner for example, or safe ganks you think you could probably secure with little input from the teammate in the lane if you’re jungling. i need to get better at shit like this, but it’s the premise. best thing to do imo is just develop a decent friends list and always have a few people in comms. makes it a lot more fun too and then this issue is lessened.

What is damage mitigation? What's its effect?
@DudeImFonz4 жыл бұрын
Damage mitigation is a percentage usually and it basically negates a percentage of damage that would have been done. So let’s say you have 15% damage mitigation and someone were to hit you for 100, they’d hit you for 85 instead (in a vacuum.) It’s the best stat in the game for tankiness because penetration doesn’t do anything against it!
@kriegaone36584 жыл бұрын
Unless you're holding it for another video I kinda wished you explained base god stats, like how every god has base protections which makes flat pen great against squishies for example. I also wish you would explain stuff like power curves in your build, and scenarios in which you may consider defense options on gods you would otherwise build full damage options on.
