Took my adult son out thrifting with me and it paid off! He found a stuffed character that cost $1.50 and I just sold it today for $92 on eBay! I don’t think I would have spotted that one. It caught his eye, so he looked it up! I’ve been having some great flips, but that one was really good! Sometimes a second pair of eyes is helpful!

Passed on some Maui Jims yesterday, they looked like knock off Ray-Bans so I didn't even check them and that's why you scan everything. Amazing tips, I appreciate it so much! Making contacts with people who do storage units is what I would prefer.

Well done. Enjoy your videos and have learned a lot. One other area of sourcing in my area (Minnesota) are the online auctions. Being Minnesota, there are no garage sales late Fall through Spring. We have several of the Caring Transition franchises here and they are getting a fair share of the Estate Sale trade. They also start their items at $1.00 (several other of our local auction companies start at $5.00). Have been finding things at good prices almost every week.
@markthompson75036 ай бұрын
I kill it with local online auctions. I get a lot of items for $3-5 and resell them for $15-25. Just this week I got an aquarium chiller for $11 that retails at $200 and I paid $11 for a four pack of round new in box chaffing (buffet) dishes that retails for $100

I’ll just flat tell them- ‘Hey, you’re the one selling it, you need to come up with a number. Buyers don’t go first.’ I’ll walk away before I put a number on another seller’s item.

Even the expensive yard sales can be profitable. Most people place too much value on certain things and think other things are worthless. Often it’s based on their personal preference. I try to figure out what categories they think are worthless and I shop for those items.
@JBOwens-wg3qv10 ай бұрын
All of these tips are great. I’ve always been wary of buyers attempting to manipulate me with similar tactics and I always love it when they try it on items that are 🔥. As an example an item that has sold for $50, 800 times in the last year and there are 10 available with mine already priced as the 2nd or 3rd cheapest. That’s when I have all the leverage and if they don’t play my game by my rules they are getting blocked and I’ll sell it to the buyer that understands the rules. THIS is why sell through rate is so so important. Control.

Hey Jake, just curious when you start sending offers to watchers on your items? Do you send offers as soon as watchers show up, after a month or so,etc.?
@JrideFlips10 ай бұрын
Immediately
@derekgraber4810 ай бұрын
OK gotcha. Curious why you don’t wait longer? Is it so you could get better sales velocity?
@jeanetteroberts983610 ай бұрын
I personally do immediately as well. My understanding is that it’s best to do it while they are still shopping. Because if they are serious you run the risk of them finding it cheaper and or someone else sending them an offer first. I am of the opinion that it also gives them the warm and fuzzies thinking ok wow this person is on it here and ready to do business and offer me great customer service. I sell about 72% of my items on offers. Whether given or received. It’s not gospel just all my unsolicited humble opinion. Happy selling. 🎉
