Wow! Concentrated spray in specific spots. I love this information. I have experimented with the idea and it worked wonderfully well, even for a perfume I had been complaining about its poor projection and longevity. All the while I was whining about its weak performance, I didn't know it was owing to my wrong way of spraying it. Now I know better. Thanks so much for this video.

Nice quantitative approach to the projection aspect of the performance question. Have you thought about how the the dryness of the skin factors into this? It could be argued (as many have) that the more moistured ones skin is, the less it absorbs the perfume oils deep into the skin, resulting in better longevity/performance.

Ive been wearing fragrances wrong forever lol.. i own a lot of fragrances and non seem too last even ones people claim are beast mode.. i tried lotion all of that more sprays.. but just yesterday i put lotion on and then i spray my cologne after about an hour of applying lotion and double sprayed each area super close and concentrated till my arm was soaked with cologne or oil and yesterday mancera instant crush projected on my skin all day for about 8-9hrs yes it literally projected the whole time and it had a scent bubble i kept getting whiffa of it everytime ive inhaled.. most beast mode frags were only projection on my skin for 1-2hrs max then would wear closer too my skin the rest of the time.. now i think im gunna actually enjoy my fragrances without having too over spray them as much...

@@cryptonator1988So, does it still work? Because I have the same problem as you, spending a lot of money on frags just to overspray them to actually project more then an hour.

I’m in the medical field too. Can you do a video series on hospital safe perfumes? I have Prada L’lome. It’s clean and soapy but want some variety. After watching your videos, I think we have similar taste haha.

I know it's been 3 years since you posted this question...I hope you have found some alternatives. My suggestion is to experiment/try white musk type perfumes. Better than perfume spray I will suggest you perfume oils or Attars so that it won't bother anyone with insane projection but lasts a long time on skin having a great scent bubble around you. To give you some examples, most of the misk attars from ASQ, Musk Tahara, Musk Rijali from Rasasi, Khalis Musk from Lattafa etc... These will give you a clean vibe. Of course try out before buying. ❤

Blanche is a recent favourite of mine. It surprised me a lot and it truly is a great work (law for me) safe scent. I thought it wouldn't last but this one actually lasts a long time on me and my bf as well. Still it is always great to learn some new tricks for projection. Especially for other scents. I also recently started spraying much closer and concentrated. I also think people underestimate the difference of the atomizers. My Cravache bottle is like a garden hose, for example and my Amouages spray much less.

How close should the atomizer be to the skin to use this technique (4”-6” inches)? Are you spraying the fragrance close enough to leave a concentrated oil spot?
@ghassanayyad97662 жыл бұрын
From what I've read that's the ideal distance range depending on the atomizer of your fragrance if the atomizer spreads the perfume into a mist stick to 4 inches but if the sprayer isn't that good at dispensing increase the distance (spraying too close near the skin will leave a stain on your skin and the projection won't be good but the longevity will increase because the evaporation will decrease due to the fact that the more area is covered the more fragrance will be evaporated and that will increase the projection so spraying too close will decrease the projection and increase the longevity as the opposite to spraying from a distance) so it's a matter of finding the right balance. Hope that helps you.
@RobertLaTuso2 жыл бұрын
@@ghassanayyad9766 Your answer was very helpful! Since most of my fragrances are Eau De Parfum and Parfum concentrations, I have noticed that increasing the distance of the sprayer from 4 inches to 6 inches (spraying behind the ear from 6 inches is tricky;) has produced a wider area of distribution and increased the evaporation and projection of my fragrances. What is your spray routine for Eau De Parfum and Parfum concentrations?
@ghassanayyad97662 жыл бұрын
@@RobertLaTuso i spray from about 10 to 15 cm and there is a good tip that i found recently is to spray the same spot twice but you should wait about 1 min between the 1st and 2nd spray to give the skin some time to absorb the 1st spray this trick helped both the projection and the longevity
@ghassanayyad97662 жыл бұрын
@@RobertLaTuso to sum it up for you the conclusion that i came to by reading a lot of articles on many many websites and people's experiences on reddit, frangrantica, basenotes and many other platforms Moisturizing the skin before spraying will increase the longevity but reduce the projection and kind of mutes the projection 2.vaseline before spraying has the same effect as the point above 3.edt generally speaking has the best projection but lasts the least 4.clean skin is much better for the fragrance 5.spraying clothes is better for longevity but not for projection 6.cold weather mutes the fresh notes so fresh fragrances such as bleu de chanel, dior sauvage, versace dylan blue will perform better in the summer 7.for me in summer i will spray the sides of the neck (twice each side leaving a 1 min gap between the 1st and the 2nd spray), the back of the neck (on the hair not the skin) and one or two sprays on the top of each one of my forearms now for the winter since most of your skin will be covered if you're wearing a scarf spray once on each shoulder and spray on your hair (front and back)

@@ghassanayyad9766 What do you think if I apply Vaseline and 2 sprays, 1 spray after 1 min in the same spot, it will be too much? (I have a Dior Homme 2020 and it doesn't project AT ALL on my skin)

Thanks dr* But if someone who gets irritations if they get it on their skin,will be effective if spraying closer in few spritz same area on the close?
@UrbanDwellerNYC3 жыл бұрын
In general, I think people say that spraying on clothes makes the scent last even longer, and I've found that as well, but I've also found that it depends on the specific fragrance and the weather. Some scents surprisingly cling better to skin and last even longer when they heat up. Others might do the opposite! Interesting.. But yes same principle applies to clothes, I think maybe less so but that's just my guess :)
