When you're a university student and you DREAM of being able to have nights like this and not drooling over your study notes falling asleep at your desk... lol.

Jay Chi good one lol I was gonna say just wait until your a parent if ur planning to have kids then u wish u were back in college and wonder y u ever complained
@TheCrunchyMom17 жыл бұрын
HaDealio not necessarily true. I am a single parent graduating college in May with a 4 year old. Parenting was way easier when I wasn't going to college for the first 6 months of my sons life... it's not helpful to anyone to say that you have it harder than them. Parenting is hard, college is hard. End of story

this is exactly the night routine my therapist recommended to me (anxiety and depression). no screens for 1-1.5 hours. relaxing activities (reading, showering, bathing). and valerian tea ☕️❤

I'm an eye mask wearer too! I love the light pressure over your eyes. It communicates to my brain that it's time for sleep. A lot of people think it funny or weird when I mention it to them, but I discovered the eye mask magic five years ago and I still love it.

I know your video focuses on things to do right before bed to help get better sleep, but just wanted to throw out a few ideas for people in the comments about what they can do during the day to get better sleep. i used to have chronic insomnia and these little things that my doctor suggested really helped me :) 1) no caffeine after 3pm 2) exercise in the morning instead of at night 3) use your bed ONLY for sleep and sex - no more eating/netflix in bed. the last one was the hardest for me because i used to do EVERYTHING in bed... homework, netflix, reading, talking on the phone, eating, you name it - but forcing myself to make my bed each morning and not get back in until bed really helped the most!! xx

The things that help me the most are gentle asmr videos (lol), soft relaxing music, that same exact tea, or just laying in bed with the lights off trying not to think of anything at all..letting my mind be clear and empty. Great video :)))

You always seem to make videos that I need. I've recently been really struggling with sleep, something I've never experience in my life before. I never used to have issued falling or staying asleep and recently I have so much anxiety about it. I've developed regular vivid nightmares that are honestly terrifying. They haunt me in my day to day life and I always remember their every detail. I also have started waking up in the night which I never used to do. I think I'm lacking in magnesium so maybe this is the key! Also already looking up diffusers as soon as you mentioned the lavender smell. Thank you!

I love that your eye mask is also from an airline! I dont use mine at home but last year I had a 2 hour each way commute that meant I had to be on the train REALLY early so I used the one I got on an Air France flight to block out the lights (and always sat in the quiet car with nature sounds and/or relaxation music on my headphones) to sleep the whole way into the city (I didnt worry about oversleeping and missing my stop cause it was the end of the line so the conductors would wake anyone up who didnt get up themselves). I also use it on vacation if the hotel curtains dont block out all the light or if I need to take an overnight bus or train somewhere (or just to sleep in the car if I'm not driving).

I have to wear an eye mask to sleep. I initially used it to block out light before we purchased thick curtains. Fast forward 6 years later, I cannot sleep without one. 🖤 Huge fan of diffusing essential oils to make my house smell amazing. 🖤 Love making hot tea before bed. I'm a big fan of the "Nighty Night" blend by the brand "Traditional Medicinals." For something warmer and slightly thicker, I love Lauren Conrad's bed time drink recipe from her website. ☕️
