GoPro brand accessories are ridiculously over priced. You need to check out Wasabi batteries to I have 4 of them and they all last longer than the GoPro brand.

+Alex Rudd Fishing Wasabi is great, thats what i run for my GoPro Hero 3, for the Hero 4 i found the Smatree for a god price. Both brands have longer lasting batteries than the GoPro brand

The reason you would pay more for The Frame is that is opens from the top. Much easier to get your camera out. Is it worth it? I don't know but that's why it costs more.

GoPro battery life is actually pretty good in my books... i have the Hero 4 silver, and I've been able to get at least an hour of recording on 1080p @ 60fps on one battery. Luckily I have 2.

I agree about buying 3rd party mounts. I do the same thing with Apple accessories. Brand name accessories are ridiculously expensive. Literally throwing your money away. But about the batteries tho...didn’t Gopro do something with their newest gopros like the hero 7 that reject 3rd party batteries?

Uhm, not really. There are two categories of mounts and accessories. You have mission critical stuff that if it fails your camera will be damaged or lost. This includes suction cups and some mounts. Then you have the not so important ones. You can go third party on the not important ones because if they fail, it's no big deal. But if you want to attach your GoPro to a car or helicopter, get decent mounts. Yes, if you're going for a bike ride or hiking, even the cheapest mounts will do. But at high speeds and high vibration, the cheaper one fail fast. Also, on the GoPro Hero 8 third party batteries don't work anymore. I believe that the only original stuff you should have is: (1) original batteries (2) maybe the charger (3) suction cup (4) shorty tripod because it's so well build. Bike mount, chesty, head mount, flotation handle, all can be third party. The bike mount is usually made out of metal and almost impossible to break. Chesty and head mount don't really face that much stress on them. Flotation handle is just a simple piece of plastic. Swivel clip is another one you can go third party. But if you want to put your gopro into extreme situations, don't reply on cheap knock-offs
