How to get custody of your kids with no lawyer.
I am not a lawyer. This is information from my personal experience in getting custody aka shared parenting time with my kids that could most likely work for you. If you have have current criminal offenses, or very unstable in your living arrangements this may hinder you a bit but not all together. It is worth a shot and definitely a whole lot cheaper than paying thousands to a lawyer. Hope this video helps someone and don't give up the good fight for your right to be a real father!

Sorry to hear that. I usually advise dads that, in a situation like this, you need to take action immediately. If you wait too long, then the courts assume you are perfectly happy giving the mother full custody in another state. Your 1st question is do you file a petition for primary custody in Florida? Or in Illinois? If she only left recently, maybe Florida is the better option but you may want to consult professionals to understand the pros and cons. Depending on your facts, I would not just settle for requesting some visitation time on weekends. Instead, try to become the primary custodial parent of your kids. If she has taken the kids out of state, away from you, then she has already proven she cannot Foster a relationship between the children and the other parent. That's one big factor. There are many more factors to consider. But start soon.

Keep your head up brother! Ex’s will act so spiteful, as if all that time together (32yrs for me) , as it was all for nothing to them . I supported our 2 son’s and her not working. 20 plus year, she found a complete stranger on messenger. Filed for a divorce while he moved in a few months. I went by to take to kids to dinner and was ran off. Being told he’s a Better Father Figure than I. 20yrs compared to a few weeks. My son’s repeated her ever word verbatim. They didn’t work out in the with the “Better BF, Father Figure. She then begged me to reconcile. I said just remember in court, if you get sad….just think of all the times your Better Man checked you into a motel. How happy and excited you were. You slept in my bed and had him around my son’s. And I asked if I can’t see my son’s, can my new Gf? Her response was, I’D SLIT HER THROAT. I SAID, SHE NOR I ARE ALLOWED TO SEE THE BOYS, YET HE CAN? Ex says, well it’s different because the boys live with me. I said that’s a Double Standard, the reason I needed a break. Ex didn’t want my siblings to visit from Texas, on my 50th Birthday, the reason I separated from her. I moved here so she could be closer to her family. She’s never drove, ever. So I had to drive her everywhere, visit her sister and BFF, both in different states, I drove her. Every family get together I had to take her. It was too much seeing her family, and being 19hrs away. In Aug 2022 I dropped off a couple pizzas from P.Hut and a couple bottles of soda. Her father came out and took the food. I asked if I could see my son’s, he replied they didn’t want to and were scared. Ex wife got into their heads. Both son’s in their 20’s have Autism. Very smart kids, but very shy and easily influenced. I begged her father, MAN TO MAN, PLEASE LET ME HUNG MY SONS ONE LAST TIME, AND I WON’T COME AROUND ANYMORE. My son’s reluctantly did it, accusing me of something I never did. Ever her father gave my sons a strange look. After that, I received a 2yr Restraining Order. That killed me, I almost did something stupid, but I know better. I picked myself up, and pretended it was like a funeral. I didn’t lose them, they lost me. I know they will eventually need me, that’s when KARMA WILL STRIKE THEM. ✌🏾

How do you even file paper work yourself? Im needing to file a TRO because she is claiming to keep the kids all summer and we got court next month but were going to push the court date further because im in between attorneys and im representing myself right now and there is no court papers in place right now i had a TRO a few months ago but it expired now the mom is being dumb again and wont even let me talk to the kids and she doesnt even talk to none of her family no more or mine she pretty much cut off all relationships because of the man she was messing with.

That paternity acknowledgement is the paperwork that gives child support permission to start a case.

Paternity test = father & mother have equal rights to their offspring. As per the constitution. Kids are 50/50 The States have that gender bia statute give me the mother's souaugustity especially if the baby was born out of wedlock which opens the door for child support where they get a dollar for dollar kickback

I went and printed out my own papers but from the looks of it , seems like the court has to fill this out . Idk . This shits confusing as fuck and as a mommy trying to get custody with no court orders in place just a bitter baby daddy being childish blocked me and ran off with my baby . Interesting scenario. If the mom wants to give all legal parenting rights to you, as the father, Go for it!! You may encounter challenges as a single father. But raising your kids is awesome and well worth it. Good luck to you.

Her hands full she had a whole new baby at 38 lol so now is my time to take over my one ☝️ 7 year old son. @@Sigma-Ahh890 That's great motivation. I totally get it. Just a heads up... Sole physical custody is when the child only lives with you and the mother never sees him. Primary physical custody is when your son mostly lives with you and she has some scheduled parenting time. Legal custody is different.... That has to do with determining who makes the decisions about your son's education and medical needs. And you probably want final decision making on those , with her input. Just a few thoughts off the top of my head. I cover these topics in episodes 2A and 2B of my channel.

Will get sheriff or someone to serve the paperwork and in the documents I will make sure i have sole custody. No disrespect to her at all but his future is better off with me mainly. She doesn’t have much to offer him from all angles. But this is all a huge learning process for me as a man and everyone in my life that’s supporting me make this decision. I never want this to be a thing of putting anyone down just want to do the best for my son because I know live is short and one day he will be a man on his own. Just want to set him up before I leave the earth… this decision supports his future. The schooling, the sports, the health, his mental wellbeing, his hygiene, his self confidence, spirituality, and much more.
