If you dont mind me clarifying the situation. So the base game works, and then the only thing that changes is you running a freshly made (vanilla) version on bsmanager? The result of this is that you can open the game fine, but the play button doesn't work. Does it just not do anything, or does it take you to a black screen or crash your game. If it's the black screen, i would be 99% sure u somehow have a mod still installed and hiding from you Solution: try opening your files and looking into the plugins folder in your bs install directory, and also the sneaky plugins folders within other directories like user data. If it just doesn't work or crashes then let me know cause I have never heard that happen to anyone but I'm more than happy looking into it cause I am a massive nerd 🧡

You just need the mods in the "multiplayer" section of the bslegacy mod list - Server browser - Beat together - MultiplayerCore Then once you boot up the game you cant just pick multiplayer and join/make/find any lobby you want. All custom songs and even modded songs will be available and if the other person doesn't have it. the game will download it for them.

Sure thing! when you say press a song do you mean actually in the game, like when you go to play it? or do you mean when you press add the song just in bsmanager on the maps tab? Also to isolate the issue I'd recommend testing after you make a change, for example right after you get bsmanager you test to make sure it works, then you try adding some songs and testing. This way you will know exactly what step caused the problem. If you are concerned about your game, simple uninstalling and then reinstalling it on steam or oculus store is a sure fire way to get back to no mods. There is also the option of uninstalling mods/songs/versions from within bsmanager if that helps. Keep me updated and if you can provide more information I'm more than happy to help! ♥

If you don't want maps and don't care about modded maps like the noodle maps, there is really no problem with the latest version. However if you want to use noodle or mapping extensions 1.28.0 is a solid pick

This is usually a mod that for some reason is not working on your system. I have had it before, its when you click play on a level and it just takes you to a black screen right? Solution is pretty simple you just need to find which mod is causing the problem and remove it. I normally delete mods in batches while testing the game in between. Once I find that the game is working I reinstall the mods that I just removed again testing as I go until I have all mods except the problem one. This is tedious and brute forcish, but since the mods don't give a clean error message its the only way I know how to fix this problem. Hope this helps

Oh, interesting, I can't say I have heard anything like that... I would still say the best way to fix problems is to isolate them so that you narrow the search. Which means uninstalling things and testing as you go until you get back to the base vanilla game. Then, as soon as it works you know that what ever you just removed is what caused the problem. Then we can do a more direct search for a fix.

Just to run through the checklist. Do you have the saber factory mod, and do you have a folder in your game directory called "CustomSabers" with at least one .saber file in it? ( you can get sabers from modelsaber.com).

I would recommend removing saber factory to make sure that it is the installation and not the mod. Then you can check whether the newest version works or if it also doesn't work. there really shouldn't be a difference between the base game on steam and a downgraded version on BSManager but if things are still going wrong after confirming that it is just bs manager thats going wrong then let me know! 🧡

Apparently its more secure than entering your details. But I have been informed that if the other end has bad intentions and knows what they are doing then its not 100% safe. However the code is open source (anyone can check what the program is actually doing behind the scenes) and everyone who mods in 2024 uses and I haven't heard about anyone having any issues with bad actors so keep that in mind. But if you want to mod the game legally, you will have to prove you have purchased the game. If you are worried ask as many people as you can and decide on what you want to do. I have trusted it for about a year with no problems.

I've never connected to an oculus account to prove you own beat saber. but im pretty sure you just click connect to Meta, and it'll either walk you through it or it'll give you a "How do I obtain my meta token" link. As for oculus version. There isn't really a version of beat saber which is only for oculus. Just make sure to turn on the oculus mode button.

I can just tell you here, its not enough information for a full video. 1. You will need the chroma mod, and the noodle extensions mod. 2. If you have one-click install working (recommended, turn on in BSManager settings), then you just need to click the cloud with an down arrow in the top right of this link beatsaver.com/maps/1e6ff (hovering over it should say "One-Click") 3. It'll be in your custom levels in game, and it'll just work. Obviously if it doesn't work then just let me know. 🧡

Ok no problem. I have a few questions.. Are you on a stand alone headset like a quest? Do you have the noodle and chroma mods installed already? Are you able to access the files where your game is installed? I can give you how I'd manually install a map on pc but I can't promise if it'd work on a standalone. First click the download zip button on that page, unzip it, and then find a folder which is labeled something like "beatsaber data/CustomLevels/" and place the unzipped map in there. That's how I'd do it on pc.

It doesn't sound like this because it says "loading" instead of "mods not found". However if you are on an newer version of the game you will not be able to see any mods because none have been made for that version of the game. What I believe is more likely is that the plugins folder is corrupted/missing. You can try running ipa.exe in your beatsaber installation directory, and that should generate the folders if they don't exist or fix corruption. If that doesn't work I'd try Uninstalling the beat saber version on bsmanager and reinstalling it. Then if that doesn't work I'd uninstall and reinstall the base game on steam/oculus

.dll is a mod file for things like tricksaber, and bettersongsearch. Beatsaver is a custom song downloader, so for getting custom songs you just need to unzip (extract) the whole folder and then place that folder in your custom songs game folder.

Oops didn't see this reply till now, you should have a custom songs folder it will be inside the beatsaber data folder. If you search in those folders you should find it. Since it's a custom song there will be no .dll file. You don't need a .dll for a custom song. The only thing you need to get the custom song to show is to have the unzipped song folder in the beatsaberdata/customsongs folder.

Just to get some more information about the problem. You have downloaded the tricksaber for your version of bs, and then you took the ticksaber.dll file and put in in your plugins folder and it isn't showing up?

All good the terminology can be complicated, normally a custom ground would be called a platform, but in this case the ground is made using noodle extensions mod which allows them to place shapes and make new graphic shaders

I installed the BS manager app, but when I put in my token it says (Unable to download the manifest for this version; your login token may be invalid) but I do have beat saber bought, but not installed. In theory, it will depend on your internet download speed. However, it is not normal for it to take a large amount of time, and for over 10 minutes, I would be concerned. If your internet speed is OK (you can Google an online internet speed checker) and it's still taking a large amount of time then I'm not sure if I can help you the only thing I found online was someone saying "just wait for it to finish" and someone else saying "restart your PC and if that doesn't work restart your router" sorry. Hope you can get it working! If any other progress toward a solution happens, just let me know, and I'll see if I can help speed up you getting it working

The simple solution is that it is 99% of the time caused by a mod that doesn't work for your system for some reason. I'd recommend deleting mods one by one until it all boots correctly. Alternatively, you can delete all the mods and then add mods in batches. This helps isolate the problem so that you know exactly what mod is causing the problem. Then you can either do without it or if you really want it reply with the mod and I'll see if I can help further

So just to make sure I understand the problem, the bs manager works fine (you can run an installation from it without mods), but when you go to install a mod it is stuck loading forever? I have heard of problems like this where the BSM just takes forever to do anything. Usually it is a lack of storage space, or slow internet problem. However if it is not that then I'd recommend trying different game versions and seeing if they have the same issue. If you still have the same issue let me know! 🧡

Are you saying that ost 7 is not in 1.28 cause that's because it is literally an older version of the game where ost 7 hasn't been released on it yet. If you want to play ost 7 you won't be able to get mods cause the developers of bs unintentionally break mods when ever they update the game.

PlayStation is being really dumb and is being really strict with a no moding policy. Which will be why there are no tutorials cause PlayStation has pretty much made it impossible without completely hacking your console... sorry

Also did you add anything else (was it just vanilla old version or did you get some mods as well) I'd recommend simplifying the problem by removing everything and then changing one thing at a time and testing to find exactly where the problem is. In your case did the latest version work -> did an old version work -> did adding mods work

Are you wanting to do custom songs? It should be pretty simple if you have access to the files beatsaver.com Go to beatsaver and find a song you like then click download zip button on the bottom right side of the song. Extract it, and then you will need to put it in the "CustomLevels" folder, which is normally where ever you game is installed -> Beat Saber_Data -> CustomLevels. Let me know if there is any problem with this method or if I'm misunderstanding your problem

This is usually one of two things for me: - A mod isn't working (Id recommend uninstalling mods until you find the problem one) - I hadn't had the headset on + steam signed in if you are using a steam version of the game, which causes the mod loader to get stuck

I found going into CTRL+shift+I to get into meta data screen on oculus, then you search in the top left for ‘graph’ then select first option, then go to manifest and at the bottom there will be a very long code that starts with something like ‘FRL…..’ it’s super super long but that’s your token key Unsure about if it’ll work with a shared account

beat saber manager is very strict with game ownership so I don't think you will get anywhere with it. However you can try a software called "ModAssistant" it is old and inferior in many ways but I don't think it checks if you own the game, and instead it just works with the files.

Any other info. Did it give you a more descriptive cause of the problem? What sort of modifications did you make to the game (mods, custom songs, sabers, avatars)? I would recommend a fresh install and test as you add more things to know where the problem is. :]

Yes! Its a map you can download here beatsaver.com/maps/1e6ff It is the second highest rated map of all time. I believe it requires noodle extensions and chroma mods to run. Hope this helps! 🧡

You can go to any mods github releases page and dowload the .dll file (the mod) from there For example Noodle extensions: github.com/Aeroluna/NoodleExtensions/releases Find the version that is compatible with your game version with the help of google Download the zip, extract it, place the .dll file (sometimes there is also a .pdb) into the "plugins/" folder where your game is installed

I'd recommend "mod assistant" in this case since it doesn't require a login and instead just downloads mods directly into your folders It doesn't have version controlling, but since you have it downloaded, there shouldn't be a problem where the game updates and leaves all the mods behind, like what happens with the original game.

Do you mean oculus stand alone or oculus pc based? I don't know if it will work on a standalone oculus headset, you can try and do it through a link but I'd recommend using a tool called sidequest if you are looking for standalone modding. If you are just asking if the oculus mode toggle button on the launch tab works then ye. You can prove that you purchased the game through oculus store and then you can boot it through oculus using the oculus mode tab. ♥

Do you mean when downloading a new version on bsmanager? If so there are really two main reasons, 1 you have no space on your pc, 2 you have really bad internet. I have never heard of it taking long with anything else but let me know if this is not your problem.

I've never connected to an oculus account to prove that I own beat saber. but im pretty sure you just click connect to Meta, and it'll either walk you through it, or it'll give you a "How do I obtain my meta token" link

Unfortunately, I don't have any Playstation, so I wouldn't feel comfortable giving out advice that I haven't tested. From what I have seen online no one has made a tutorial on it because psvr strictly enforces a NO MODS policy. If it can connect to pc AND you can see the all the files then we are cooking. You can follow the later part of the tutorial where I showcase the where to put mods and custom songs, and manual mod installing could be possible. Let me know what you found out about whether you can see the files or not and I can help with any further steps
