I got top dasher for the first time on june 1st . Being able to dash now at any time has been a game changer for me seeing that i live in a small town with a handful of places that use doordash. Also getting the bigger orders when its grey and not busy carries me through the slow hours in the middle of the day. Ive only been dashing on weekens for a month and went from a 70 percent acceptance rate to a 90 percent pretty quickly.

Stay out of Oakland on north Cali. Manhattan beach/ Redondo beach/ west Torrance are gold mines during the weekend. In southern Cali Tip: don’t turn on your app until you’re in the beach community exactly… you’re welcome… Culver City Santa Monica.. also great. downtown never stops. But it’s toss up and slightly sketch… beaches BOOM. Sam fransisco is wild to drive in but tips are amazing.

Reset my acceptance. Making good money but one thing that's happened that I feared is I haven't got a single catering order in over a week. I used to get them multiple times every day orders paying 40 50 plus dollars. Now I no longer get those orders. I do get MORE orders now that I have a good acceptance rate but pretty pissed I don't get catering orders anymore because of it

I'd been TD before. Tested the diamond order program in Seattle this month. It's a scam to get you to take the long distance orders. I rather cherry pick. Shorter distance equal less time to complete which will set up for a new offer faster. Time matters! However... I do get first offers for shop and deliver.

Nah you are wrong on this one bud. I have diamond in my area. They tell me my AR that day, 100% start of month, 93% the next day. They aren’t just monitoring my AR. Someone who has 10% can get to 50% in one day so that means they are watching them too. AR matters still but daily not monthly anymore. They have to watch the low AR’s to see if they qualify daily. Diamond is better imo. I live in a rich af area and always maintain above 90% throughout

I will reiterate a little bit. Idk if it’s better because I still get great orders but my AR does update daily. You can’t say pizza program and shop and deliver are programs to make you earn more but diamond isnt. It’s pretty much TD XL in my opinion. It’s not a program you opt into. It just shows my AR daily like 97, 93, 88. So if you get 100 the month before and go to 12 the next day they obviously see that and take you out of the diamond program. But you aren’t telling me they don’t notice you dropped from 100 on the last day to 12% lol. They then update you accordingly. It’s DD way of saying hey we’re watching daily now not monthly. We know what you were pulling…nice…now this is what we are doing to combat that. I still agree AR 100% matters in their business model

Been waiting to see this hit your market. We need to see you guys find someone that is not in LOP and test this, as TD and not TD. When Accept more, Earn more hits your market (ive had it for two months, above 50, and above 70, and now as TD without LOP), they have removed the language from the Top Dasher perks about having priority over other dashers. I would really like to see if this effects TD below 50%. SO far in my market, as TD, over 80% with this program, it was giving me the same hidden tips I used to get before these were rolled out, just now with plus signs and diamonds. When below 50%, it takes away the banners, and sub 10%, the orders are all trash. It does feel like this is their angle to deter the cherry picking grind at EOM for TD, but I am seeing the 99 dollar sub totals when below 50% so you may still be right on the sub total pyramid. I will say I will never put myself through the misery of going for TD again, taking 80 straight orders is something I wouldnt wish on anyone, that last week of last month was a net loss of 760.00 for me to grind that with fuel cost increase and multi app orders missed while on trash orders for DD through peak meal periods.

The diamond program seems to me, to be a trial run to eliminate top dashers gaming the system for the whole month. If they can get people to take the trash to keep their AR up daily then there will be no need for the TD program.

Sorry for the long comment but I’m really discouraged and for some reason I can’t get my Discord up and running. I left the printing industry after 40 years to move in and take care of my aging mother. So my bills are a lot smaller. My nieces and nephews make anywhere from $700-900 a week doing Doordash. When I started I was making roughly $400 a week. Manageable. But the last month and a half it’s dwindled to between $150-$160 a week. NOT manageable. I stay out 3 hours for breakfast, 3 hours for lunch and sometimes 1-2 hours for dinner. My customer rating is 4.95, completion rate 97% and until recently (last couple of weeks) my AR has been over 85%. It got down to 62% but is back up to 69% presently. I’ve been doing this now for just over 3 months and I already have close to 500 deliveries. I don’t accept many shopping jobs because I’m too slow and not good at it. But recently I will navigate to a “hot” zone only to have it go gray on me when I get there and it won’t let me dash now. So I’ll go to the next closet hot zone only to have it go gray as soon as get there and the last zone I just left is hot again. And back and forth, back and forth. I’ve literally spent several days chasing hot zones and not getting a single order. I have very little success scheduling as well. I have also tried deleting the app and reloading several times. At least my app hasn’t crashed in the middle of a pick up in a couple of months. What am I doing wrong? HELP!!!!

Well I have to say that PROP 22 does have it advantages and can give you an edge. But as long as it's around take advantage of it because I know for a fact that the DD and other platforms are looking for ways to reverse it. Remember to also take advantage of the stride health plan and auto coverage while your on an active dash 💨

I am actually a diamond 💎 I have a 55% I want to make it to top Dasher simply because I live in rural Ohio population 11,000 people 15 restaurants I do not own a red card and I refuse to own one and my market the glitches are too bad to own a red card. One item out of stock you have to cancel the whole order it will not let you do any exchanges or refunds it will not let me check out so I'm fine with that anyway because I hate shopping! I'm a woman but I hate shopping with a passion I order everything online mostly and then make somebody else shop for me and then I go pick it up. I am legally disabled and I do not like walking around a store it hurts really bad my back my legs my knees all of that so it's easier for me to just work restaurants physically. I don't want to go to a different Market most people would tell me to go to a different Market but the nearest market is 35 to 40 minutes away and that is just a long distance I have chronic migraines I have traumatic brain injury and PTSD. So I'm fine with the smaller Market paying disabled. I need top Dasher because I hate working after dark and the cold and the ice and all that I just want to work daytime hours and that's that when it comes to winter time I'm scared to death of snow and ice because I've fallen too many times to me it's a winter wonder death trap. I'd rather be home at night watching TV with my animals versus being out frisking falling on my butt and breaking something. So I need to get my acceptance rate up.

@@lgrinaker I second the Houston area. We have diamond orders now, and I have been getting about half diamond orders when I dash. But Houston dashers have to know they essentially stop giving any orders if you get your acceptance rate in the red. Mine was red for two days and I would get one order an hour now I get much better orders and around an order every two minutes. I am not a top dasher but plan to be top dasher at the end of this month. The Algorithm really changed a few weeks ago for us.

He is guessing $70, but I do diamond deliveries and they are more expensive orders. So you do get larger orders and more expensive restaurants. Think about it if someone orders from a nice Italian restaurant they will most likely tip more and Doordash would prefer to have an experienced driver pick up that order since they know what they are doing. Doordash wants people to spend lots of money and giving it to a new dasher means longer wait times for the customer and the possibility of the dasher getting lost and making the customer wait.

it's based on the last 100 orders so if you accept more orders over a period of 100 orders, it'll go up. Your rating says that you accept 3 out of every 10 orders they send you. sometimes, you have to eat it to get your ratings up.
