We been using round drills but I may have to go for square drills in future. Just started this and wondered how people placed multiple drills at once lol. Take a sub,keep up the work.
@DiamondPaintingJimАй бұрын
I find it easier to line up square drills because they have straight edges but a lot of people prefer rounds. Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching! ☺️

My diamonds tend to have a lot of static in them after taking them out of the packaging. They like float. And jump off the tray.
@DiamondPaintingJim Жыл бұрын
I’ve read various tips on how to get rid of static but none of them seem to be 100%. There are always comments from people who tried a specific method but it didn’t work for them. When I got a kit a few months back with static drills I cut dryer sheets into small strips, put them in the containers, put the drills in, closed the lid and shook the containers. It worked for me. I’ve also heard of people just wiping the inside of their tray with a dryer sheet to combat static. I’ve just started a kit from DAC that had drills jumping out of the tray when I poured them out of the bag. I can see some of my containers have drills sticking to the sides. Might be time to get the dryer sheets out again.

@Diamond Painting Jim thank you so much for that tip. It sounds like it will be very helpful. I'm addicted to diamond painting and I've only had mine for about 2 weeks. Tonight I did about 3 hours and 2 different colors.

Hi Janita, the one on the left is The Little Tin Soldier from Diamond Art Club which, I think, is now discontinued. The one on the right is a custom diamond painting of a picture I took at the botanical garden in Copenhagen of a hover fly on a flower. I tweaked it a little bit to create that effect. Thanks for watching! 😊

@@janitarobbins2828 Hi Janita, that’s unusual. They had a long backlog after Black Friday but things should be back to normal now. Delivery time to Denmark is normally 2-3 weeks. You could email them and ask about delivery time to you. They’ve always been very helpful when I’ve contacted them about different things. 🙂

@DiamondPaintingJim Жыл бұрын
Hi Dianna, if you mean how do I place drills straight on the canvas. I have a video showing how I start a square drill canvas using a diamond painting pen. I show how I line them up and talk about the gaps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnPLfo2Mo7lpors Thanks for watching! :o)

@@DiamondPaintingJim I don't mean that. How do you line up the drills in the tray.
@DiamondPaintingJim Жыл бұрын
@@diannanatale1263 Hi Dianna, I have a video explaining how to get your drills to lay the right way up. Once you’ve done that you just tilt the tray up a bit and tap the side of the tray with your finger. The drills will slide to the bottom as you tap. Then they’ll be lined up ready for your multi placer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a52mlGaAd7p0sNU

What do u mean? It works because slight ridges hold them
@DiamondPaintingJim9 ай бұрын
The ridges are also what flips the drills over when you shake the tray from side to side. The trick is to shake the tray enough for the drills to flip over but not so hard that they then jump out of the channel.
@jenmb26799 ай бұрын
mine are so tiny i cant even tell which side is up.i spent more time trying to flip them over,most times only 1 at a time, than sticking them to my painting.theres gotta be a better way

Hi Jen, diamond painting drills are a standard size. Square drills are 2.5mm and round drills are 2.8mm. You could try using a magnifier of some sort to make it easier to see the drills. There are large magnifying glasses that have a bendy arm that you can clamp to your table and move over your tray. There are also some diamond painting pens and tweezers that have a magnifying glass attached. I have reviewed some in the past. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2SaaZdsfLVmf68 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rniVZ5ttpNWsaMU I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
