I have never successfully gotten all the trophies or awards but I HAVE successfully gotten zero in a single game hahah. And I won’t lie, when that happened I was so sad! I felt like I was really bad at the games or something. But seeing how much repetition and effort goes into some of these, I can confidently say that I don’t wish to get all these achievements anymore. Gee whiz some of these would take ages!

I have a video idea! You could maybe talk about what college major different characters in the game would be or what yearbook “most likely to..” they would get in high school! I love your videos and feel like you have a good concept of all the characters

I had no idea TRN had a piano playing award, and now I'm shocked I've never received it! 😂 Probably because there's actually such a small window of gameplay during which Nancy can play without John stopping her, so I'm still not playing enough to make the game happy (WAC's piano award, on the other hand? I've never missed it LOL). I'd love to try for it on my next replay, but I'm nervous one of the awards I usually get will override it. 😅 A story about VEN, my second favorite game - two replays ago I reaaaaaally made an effort to finally get every award. The one that's always eluded me is Euro Trash, but I put SO much gameplay time into wandering the map and clicking on everything to get all the euros. Well, wouldn't you know, I FINALLY got the Euro Trash!!!!! But sad news . . . . . I didn't get a perfect mosaic (even though I have successfully achieved that before), and I forgot to use the dictionary on the wasp repellant packaging. 😭 I laugh about the whole thing now, but at the time, I remember being so excited to finally get Euro Trash and then immediately deflated by missing the other two. I'm determined to get them all someday, and it will be a big moment when it happens. 😂

OMG so on brand that you always get the WAC piano award!! Lol! VEN is such a tricky one for rewards because some of them are so finicky! I definitely wish you luck in tackling it!!

I got all the awards for Ghost of Thornton Hall, and I got close with Haunting of Castle Malloy. I like trying to achieve all of them for sake of completeness and as a challenge for the games I play multiple times.

Great video I'm someone who would go for the achievements even if they're a bit grindy so I've gotten all the trophies for DED, SPY and SEA. I've also got all the awards for WAC (Not in one sitting, though I was one off) As a funny anecdote, I was buying everything in Soren's gift shop for the Keepsake Kitsch achievement. Unfortunately, that was the playthrough I forgot that you had to wrap Ned's gift. I think it's safe to say Ned was extra disappointed at the end of the game. 😅

I love this comprehensive video 😊 for the earlier classical games do u think some awards have more priority to be achieved at the end if multiple are achieved or maybe it’s first achieved first served?

Are you in the speed running discord? We have a TON of breakthroughs in getting some of the achievements. Phantom of Venice has a couple of bugs where you have to do some achievements very strangely in order for the achievement to unlock

I’m not 100% sure about this but I think that in RAN, if you choose all of the negative dialogue options, the “Glass Half Full” award actually changes to “Glass Half Empty,” so I think you only don’t get it if you waver between optimistic and pessimistic dialogue options. So I guess it’s more an award for being consistent throughout the game, lol.

Do you think they should have listed the award categories at the beginning of the games so we at least know what we can strive for ? 🕵🏼‍♀️ The earlier games how would you even know they don't show them like the later games (and Renaissance era I don't think you can see the list until the end).

I always thought it was kind of fun to use my sleuth sense in the renaissance era to guess if something would be an achievement, but I also appreciate seeing them in the later games. There’s pros and cons to both ways I think.

I can see it both ways! It's kind of good for replay value to not know so that you can try again on repeat plays, but I feel like it's also helpful to know what they are and track your progress. That's why I'm so close to getting them all in KEY because they're trackable in game!
