I’m glad your doing tutorials because some of your older tutorials are decent at best, I think it’s worth redoing your tutorials just a thought.

It's cool that you are making tutorials again.:) learned F2L, OLL, and PLL from your old videos.:) but anyways, If I am allowed to give constructive criticism, It would be awesome If you would have a Black cube without stickers,......and only use at the pices that you "need" stickers. It's a bit more work to setup, but I think it would look cool.:) and I've never seen it on youtube. but I used this technique to teach a few friends how to solve a rubiks cube. It's a lot nicer to look at, because you can really focus on the important part, and the stuff that you don't need is just black. I hope I don't sound like a smartass. anyway, keep up the good work.👍

I'm sub 15 but I still watch, your vids got me into cubing originally, all the way back 6 years ago. Then after a year long break I got back into cubing, and finally CBC is making quality vids again. Your views may be down but with content like this they'll climb right back up!

There was one that I would have done differently. Not sure if it is more efficient. The case at 11:46 - turn the green center side first 180 degrees, place the red-white edge on the bottom, and then you can finish with the green-white piece. You do a great job at explaining the reason why you make each move to complete the cross. I find it difficult to do this when giving advice to other cubers on how to improve their cross. Well done.

If you're CN you can solely use center pieces to infer what cross edge piece should go where, relative to each other. It's a little tricky at first but the only thing you have to know is opposite colors.

11:00 You don't need to move green first, just insert red to the left of green, then insert blue on top of orange. Move over the bottom layer with a D and insert orange. Saves a move.

For the cross at 8:00, I have seen (white on bottom, green on front) D (to replace the bad red) U (to transform the bad blue edge into a good one), R' (insert Orange and transform blue), D2 (align with blue and red), F (insert blue), R (insert red), D2 align. The solution I have found is D U R' D2 F R D2. There might be better. If so, please comment it to me, I would love to know.

Hey Dan, since you said you wanted to know why people aren't watching your videos as much anymore, I think i have an idea why. I used to watch your videos back in 2015 ~ 2016 when I just started cubing and when I was averaging around 40 seconds. I feel like I could trust your take on cubes as well as your tutorials because you were faster than me. Now that I average around 10 seconds, I feel as if your videos are no longer useful to me(still watch your videos though and I'm still a big fan) but many people might feel the same way so I was thinking maybe you can learn full OLL with good algs and more efficient F2L algs and boost your tps just a little bit and mayyyybe people might come back to you
@MarkusAliasCmn
@MarkusAliasCmn 5 жыл бұрын
While this might be the case there are always enough people out there who don't average around 10 seconds and can learn a lot from those videos.

Javin Ohara thanks for the input, however there are far more people out there who are slower than me than faster than me. The reason my channel has died is because I did nothing but product reviews.

Alternate solutions if anyone's interested. They should work. 5:10: L R2 F' D L D R -> your solution is fine but has a larger regrip, mine is regripless if you do the R2 first and D (RH ring push). 7:45: U' F2 D' L U F' D2 L2 9:34: U R2 D F' D2 R2 -> very ergonomic. Your solution might be better, though, depending on the person 10:20, blue facing: u' F2 L U D2 L2
