hey, I just started watching many of your videos because for a while I've had an issue where my internet just isn't as strong as we pay for. I think it has to do with the fact that on my netgear modem, the downstream channels light is blinking, but I don't know how to fix it at all. I end up with a 20mb/s speed instead of a 450mb/s that we pay for. Can you please make a video on how to fix it, that would help me so much because I cant find a solution anywhere.

What if my ISP provides us with maximum theoretical download speed of 100mb/s and says it's should be AT LEAST (minimum) 40mb/s and average between 60 and 70 mb/s BUT when I connect a device to the router via LAN cable it gives me +-60mb/s? on wifi is the same, sometimes faster, both near the router and "far" from it.

Does anyone know if this adaptor works with Linux Mint? I know it doesn't mention it on the web page, but lots of things that do work with Linux are not mentioned in the write ups of other products I've used. At the moment I'm only able to use my ethernet cable to get my speeds. My brother lent me his cheap wifi adaptor (no antenna) and it is really sucky. I only get 23% on the indicator for connection. Yet I'm on the other side of the brick wall that the router is attached to. Not having decent wifi, means if I want to move my pc anywhere else, I have to have cables all over the place.

ok so i purchased the same one and i went from 43 mbps with the built in adapter to 130 mbps with the antenna but after the first day the antenna also is only getting 43 mbps, any ideas or sugesstions?

Can you use this on tablets?.... I have a 9 inch irulu AX922 tablet and the wifi sucks! Although it'll have a strong wifi signal, the transfer speeds for wifi are pretty slow. Sometimes it's hard to pick up wifi, even if I'm sitting in the same room as the modem/router.

I have an old laptop with Windows 10 and could not use WiFi for Zoom meetings - had to use a network cable. Added a $14.00 US USB network adapter similar to the one in the video. Can now do Zoom meetings with no problems using WiFi and 5G from my router.

OK! I would say this as I used both a USB to connect to my wifi router for having an old machine and used ethernet cable. Trying this device will be a way some good idea to see if can have good and reasonable speed while playing open world games. When have cash. Hi. I'm just throwing this out there. I have an Asus Ac2600 cm32 WiFi/ router combo unit. My internet speed on my phone is the highest which is 72mbps. It has been that way for about 4years now. Even though my internet provider has increased the speed about 3 times, and from the cable company It starts out at 600 Mbps, I have tried multiple router/ modem units. I still get the same speed 72 Mbps. I recently tried about 4 different repeaters and extenders. None of them will work. All of them say " won't work with this router". I have the router Mac filter turned off. All repeater/ extender units say, "will not connect". " Won't work with this router". The thing is, I shouldn't need to use a repeater or extender at all. I use a phone, a tablet, and a streaming device that works at 100mbps. That has problems along with my tablet. Mainly streaming. The streaming device only needs 100mbps to work. That means I am getting less than 100mbps, here at my house. (And it starts as 600 Mbps from my cable provider). That is unacceptable!!! I have had the cable company here on two occasions. Neither guy did a thing and each one had a different story of what might be the problem. Of course I had to pay for two service calls. I am now thinking of getting a computer geek to come to my home, check the speed and power of my cable line, and also set up my router the best professional way it can be used. I almost am sure the guy will say it is my cable company that is the fault. But before I contact the geeks, I figured I would ask you about your thoughts of my situation. Thanks

@@mstckz It does not speed up the internet speed from your ISP. It updates the slow hardware on an old computer so you get the best wifi from your router. My laptop is an 11 year old Dell. The adapter basically gives you an up to date hardware setup that allows you to get the best speed available from your router. As I said it‘s cheap, easy to install and t works.

I have an older Gateway laptop (yes, I know) that I got when I used to work. I don’t even know if it has wifi. How can I check it to see if it does have wifi? You would need to see if your TV supports a USB to ethernet adapter. If it does, you can buy one and plug a standard ethernet cable to the adapter. If your TV doesn't support this, then there is no feasible way to connect it to the internet.

The drivers don't live on the device. When you connect the device to your USB, it sends a device ID which Windows recognizes and quickly installs the driver for it.

There's no software drivers that "lives on the device", if Windows has drivers built in it will install them, otherwise they nwwd to be installed. As most manufacturers use the same chipsets this is automatic.
