For some reason - this minigame has caused me to age 10 years and lose more hair than I care to count. Worst controls ever - its like trying to drive a speeding forklift with a turn radius of a semi truck.

Thank you, I was not able to do this at all. For some reason, I just did not register hitting X to hit the second wave of balls over the barriers. Once I did, I did it first try.

THANK you! I thought I was doing it perfectly but kept running shy of the target time. I realized from your video I should be L3 dashing between balls, then being gentle (stopping R2 run) and carefully using X lob shot before the barriers, not just at the final goal. With that info, my final time was 1:40:93. It's doable, just agony instead of fun! I feel like the perfectionist score thresholds on these mini games ruin them.

Yep. This game was pretty much Mario party extra mini games plus KH and about 15% final fantasy

I realized why this game was so easy in the Aerith outfit quest... The last ball makes this game ridiculously unfair. Trying to get it in made me physically feel ill until I saw your vid and didn't realize lob was the x button...

I just finished the hard mode run of this sidequest. Platinumed the game about 15 in-game hours ago, and I'm glad I didn't have to pass all the mini games in hard mode for the plat. I passed this one the first time at 1:27. Passed hard mode at 1:25 after a few hours of vicious cussing at my TV lol

this minigame is the worst I've seen. Terrible controls and physics. Red takes too long to move around or recenter. So annoying

Yeah I really don't like it either. Square-Enix is trying to make Run Wild into a quasi-Rocket League like experience yet they never bothered to make sure that the gameplay aspect was built to handle the mini game properly. They just plopped Red's gameplay into a Rocket League like environment and just called it a day. A real "putting a square peg into a round hole" type of situation. Also, it doesn't help that it doesn't have a lock-on feature which would've made tracking any of the balls a whole lot less a of pain in the ass to deal with.

I just bought a brand new silver Dualsense controller. It looks great, and I want it to stay that way so it won’t be playing this mini game ever again. You can craft the rewards anyway.

This is an absolutely amazing game but MY F***ING GAWD these mini-games are AWFUL. They didn't really think these mini-games through. All over the internet I see players complaining about these mini-games and I hope SE learns from this and makes them better and more fun in the last game. What a shame.

I did it! I think if you can score the first four balls in under a minute, you have a chance to finish first place.

I did the timetrial and ended up with 2:20:20. The time for platinum earrings is 2:30:00, yet I did not get that reward.

I havent tried this yet but i have 750 hours in the game. Let me say im so disappointed in how many minigames are in rebirth. Tied to achievements, weapon level party level and the platinum. God, it never ends. At 725 hours i finished queens blood. The fun stuff was all in the first 250 hours the rest is a SLOG so many random little things to do. I want the plat. First plat. But man day and night and overnight on the game its burning me out.

I can't come in first alone to get Red's stupid Collar in the first RW challenge. That fucking Black team, I was ahead by one with 3 secs left and they tied it up. So fucking frustrating, the mini-games definitely get an "L" in my books, while the rest of the game is great.

This is easily the WORST minigame in the entire game. It wouldnt be as bad if i could zoom out the fact im so close and cant see the ball half the time is so frustrating and im sure im never gonna plat this game because of this

@@loudpackscrap8345 the most recent update allows for decreasing difficulty in some of the mini games. I have to give credit for that. That gears and gambits game would have taken forever to master.

Just came on to say that this game effing sucks. It's terrible as Red's maneuverability is poor. I quit it and don't care. I got 4m 0s and I don't want to put up with its frustration enough to try and get 2m 3s
