@@alexstar5182 no need. Its very simple 80% of people who use the air train are heading to Penn Station, New York. Just follow the crowd and don't forget the ticket before or after boarding the airtrain

Thanks for the video. I was just curious about 1 small detail and this answered it, yay. To answer the question about NY and Newark stations both being named "Penn Station". Has to do with when they first built railroads/subways and they were all different companies... those stations were built/run by "Pennsylvania Railroad"; the same one as found in the Monopoly board game. But yea, "Newark Penn Station" and "New York Penn Station" is confusing. Also enjoyed @ 5:33, "TITLE TEXT HERE". :D

There is also Baltimore-Penn Station. There were also Penn (Pennsylvania) Stations in Harrisburg, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Downtown Newark has Broad Street Station (DLW RR) still in use and formerly had Lafayette Terminal (CRR NJ) just a few blocks from Penn Station.

You can also take the PATH train from/to newark and nyc. It is 2.95 and runs 24/7 unlike nj transit. Be a bit longer.

@Airport Info HQ the reason there are multiple Pennsylvania Stations, or Penn Stations for short, goes back to the days of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Their stations are known as Penn Station, which is why there are multiple across the country. If multiple trains stopped at the same station, the station were, and still are, called Union Station, which is why there are also multiple Union Stations around the country

Fun Fact: When the Air Train was first installed in 1973 or so, it's design was a non-standard gauge. So you can't just buy new cars when they wear out -they won't fit the rails. Duh!

One thing in the video which is wrong and misleading. DO NOT transfer onto a "New Jersey COAST LINE" train. That is the line heading south towards the Jersey Shore! You want the "Northeast Corridor" heading to New York Penn Station. You can take a northbound coast line train passing through the airport on the way to NYC. But, if you ask specifically about the New Jersey Coast Line specifically, the rep may send you to the opposite track and send you down the Jersey Shore to hang out with Snooky. Beware.

i had to live in that airport for one night!!! xD and the night guards were nice and making jokes, But there were weird people walking in at 2 AM doing nothing and staring at people :/ later on around 3 am, Airliners workers came in around 3 4 am when the airport starts to be active! very, later on i took an uber to my rented place in NJ, so far i love new jersey, new york is kinda dark stressful and awesome tbh

Thanks for the detailed version! If arriving at Terminal C EWR is it safe to guess most of the Airtrain seats would already be taken by passengers getting on at Term. A & B?

Hey! First of all thanks for the video. I’m actually traveling to Newark this Saturday and will be there for a few hours between flights. If my plane arrives at 7:48 am and my other flight departs at 10:43 pm. Do you think I have enough time to go to Penn Station in NY and be back in Newark in time for my 10:43 pm flight considering check in and security lines. I won’t have a suitcase so check in will depend on how many people there are. I think so but I want to make sure by asking someone who’s taken the trip. The other thing I was considering is taking a Lyft or Uber to Sacred Heart Cathedral which is like 15 minutes from Newark Airport without traffic. Which one would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

I would say that is quite risky. There are too many variables between EWR and Manhattan. Train could be down. You may miss a train. May get lost finding the return train at Penn NY since it is a large hub. Actually EWR is easy to get in and out of, but who knows the security line when you get back. Just my opinion, but maybe someone else has a different experience and will leave a comment also. Thanks for watching!

Airport Info HQ OMG! I’m so excited! What about Grand Central? Would that be pushing it? All I want is to go. Spend maybe 2-3 hours to be safe at least and head back to Newark.

Land 7:48AM EWR + 1 hour train to Manhattan = 8:48AM + 3 hours in Manhattan 11:48AM + 2H (to be safe) back to EWR 13:48. 9 hours to spare for Flight at 22:43 EWR. Sounds like you have plenty of time to go about in Manhattan!
