Depends how big/much luggage you have especially if you want a lift (or escalator even) at the station. The Elizabeth line is more comfortable and the stations have lifts

We took the Tube to Kings Cross. Sat at the rear where most people avoid, so it didn't get too crowded which also helped with having room for baggage without it getting in people's way.

When I went to London last August, I took the Piccadily Line from Heathrow to London and back to Heathrow. I had no problem. I come from Boston and I'll take the "Tube" over the "T" any time!

Picadilly is definitely one of my favourite lines. Conveniently distanced stations, and whilst it may not be the quickest, it has so many of London's greatest attractions on its route!

Most Piccadilly line stations do not have an escalator but there are exceptions. All of Heathrow and earls court have lifts, for example

I found the Heathrow Express perfect. We scored return tickets for under 20 quid booking in advance plus as we were staying on Tower Hill, we jumped straight onto the Circle Line from Paddington

You should be fine. There is not always a lift at the stations but there is a lift getting to the picadilly line.

Just be careful when taking Elizebeth line for flights to Heathrow, significant time needs to be allowed for unexpected delays and lot of walking as there five terminals at Heathrow

"Lizzy line" rocks !!, YES , it IS expensive , and YES the tube line IS real deep (in places) as far as tube lines go , so if you have heavy suit cases PER-LEASE use the lifts ( or whatever the yanks call them ) , because the escalators can be long , and the incline on some stations is quite steep , which can make holding onto your case(s) quite challenging

Unless you're taking the Piccadilly line at rush hour, you should have no problem. And even then, since you're getting on at Heathrow, the first stop, you shouldn't have any problem getting a seat. Just keep your bags near you, no problem. I've done this several times with absolutely no problem. It's very convenient.

Heathrow Express was my favorite option due to how quickly it gets you to Heathrow. Even with a bus transfer to get to Paddington it was much quicker than all the other options

No Elizabeth line yet in 2014. My hotel is near Paddington, can be walked but still took a cab after alighting from Heathrow Express. I was after comfort and speed, besides bought my Heathrow Express in advance online so cost lower.

Coaches even run Crimbo day! (Think the final destinations for national express at Heathrow headphone awa from London is actually more varied but normally only Cheltenham/Gloucester/. Brighton ones call there ah think )

I'm a londoner and I just make my life as easy as possible with uber. After a long flight I don't mind paying more. The picadilly line is so slow and no air conditioning but if you don't mind doing it on the cheap then just do that and welcome to London!

Landing at Heathrow at 9:05 on Oct 13th! Two people, two rolling bags each and two backpacks. Going to Piccadilly Circus. EL says a 16 min walk to our hotel, not looking forward to that. Piccadilly line says a 3 min walk. With all the luggage should I hang it up and take a 60 pound taxi? Does Piccadilly station have a lift or am I hiking up stairs with all this? Thanks for the help! We'd pop your hotel address in Google Maps from Heathrow and that should give you the best route at the time you arrive because peak hour etc. can determine the best journey.

I booked the Heathrow Express for £16.50 early bird rate for 2 adults and £0.00 for 2 kids (ages 11 & 13). With the Piccadilly line being £5.50 per person, it’s still somewhat cheaper but I assume the Heathrow will be worth the extra cost.

These are literally the only options 😂. Unless you drive or take standard busses or the Superloop. However, these are not tourist friendly and the Superloop does not go through Central London.
