7:31 People do not talk enough about exiting the gate first if you still have a transfer to make. On two separate occasions I have had the airport express train get off at the same section of platforms that my transfer was on. In Tokyo, I ended up at a different station trying to use my Narita Express ticket to get out of the gate, which does not work. Luckily the worker at the booth understood immediately when I showed him my ticket and I just had to pay a couple hundred yen to cover my transfer train ride. Luckily in Kyoto I learned my lesson, and I walked allll the way from the platform I got off at to the main gates of Kyoto Station, used my ticket to exit the gate, then immediately turned around and used my ICOCA to go back in the gate and walked back to the same section of platforms to get on my next train lol.

How to go to OANAKITA from Haneda International Airport with fewer and cheaper transport?
@culturevultureonline4742Ай бұрын
Another excellent video - When I look at Google Maps, for the Keisei Narita Skyaccess, it appears to have its own line but then that line blends into the Asakusa line, which is surprising and hard to wrap my head around. However, what really makes me wonder is the availability of luggage space. For the N'EX and Skyliner, you mentioned it, but do you have any ideas about what it is like for the Keisei Narita Skyaccess? Maybe you've used it before🤔

It's essentially just a subway so anything goes.

Does the tokyo metro pass covers the express tickets like skyline and NEX?

Just a note, Pasmo Passport has been discontinued as of the 25th of June 2024. I don't understand why websites are all still up and only show that very missable line... Kind of misleading.

It’s easy: Get that NEX, green car. Quick, quiet, comfortable, not really expensive at 4000 Yen.

Can I charge IC cards with a credit card? Or it only takes cash?
@Will_Zhao2 ай бұрын
Not all places take credit cards, you'll have a much easier time with cash. If you look at 03:20 the ticket machine doesn't have a slot for credit cards.

I read all over the internet you can’t get a physical IC card because of chip shortages. I see all over KZbin videos showing me how to get a physical IC card. Which is the truth?
@Will_Zhao3 ай бұрын
Both. Even though IC card availability in Tokyo has been unpredictable for a very long time, they are almost always in stock at the airports. Plus, JR east has made the tourist versions (Welcome Suica, Pasmo Passport(now discontinued)) to alleviate the issue and I've never heard those being sold out. So this is pretty much a non-issue. It's even better if you go via KIX, ICOCA never had a supply issue.
