Hi, i have a question if we perform the butt welding on steel plates 10cm wide and 5 mm thick. Can we use this sheet to produce the coil by hot rolling? Will the joint sustain the hot rolling process?

why didnt u grind both sides and weld it whole seemse harder

What did you use to bevel the pieces? Angle grinder?

Just an angle grinder with a grinding wheel.
