I have my iPhone 7 connected using the trrs connector and the audio comes out of the amplifier to the iPhone and sounds great, when I go to Facebook live it still uses the microphone from the iPhone and not the audio input. Any ideas on how to fix it. Update found the issue. When you start Facebook live with everything connected up it still wants to use the iPhone mic so you have to disconnect and connect again and then it uses the audio input! Works well.

I have a MacBook Air running Rekordbox 5 and am using a Pioneer DDJ400 controller. My preference is to stream or upload onto KZbin as I have recently created my channel. I would like to use both my MacBook Air webcam & iPhone 8 to have a camera on me & on my decks potentially using OSB. The issue I am not getting a clear answer for is relating to the sound. Yes bro. It will work. But as long as you have the Rode SC4 cable. If you don't use the TRRS converter it won't work.

I used: TS 1/4" to 3.5mm-male cable (TS 1/4" plugged into Monitor-Out Port on my Apollo Twin X Duo souncard). And then 3.5mm-male to TRS-TRRS. And then TRS-TRRS to 3.5mm female to lightning (included with my iPhone). Could not get any signal on my iPhone (Used meta recorder to ensure that the iPhone is getting signal from headset rather than iPhone microphone). I plugged the 3.5mm male to a speaker and I heard the music just fine. What did I do wrong here?

I used the first method you showed (with 2 y converters), but the iPhone audio comes through the speakers instead of the sounds from the dj controller going into the phone?

So as I mentioned. 1st method works only with old phones. For iphone you need TRRS Converter.

Thanks so much for this! Before watching this I used My iRig HD to connect to my computer on a Zoom party I had to set up for my wife who is a DJ, I am a TV producer and know my way around a couple of devices. Since my iRig HD didnt have a handy mini plug extension i had to bridge the signal through the aux output on my laptop to get return for her. Now for the next live on IG I will be trying to make a DIY TRRS cable from some old phone headsets and a couple of speakers (part recycling) and hopefully that will work until the lockdown is over. I have a ZTE Blade 6 phone, kinda old, I couldn't get external mic sound with the rca cable and a three strings jack adapter.I have downloaded the Open Camera app and it does receive the audio (you have a setting to change the audio source). Using that I filmed a session, but couldnt make it with instagram live. Anyway, is there a solution, or when the phone does not natively recognize the external audio there's nothing to do?

Well. The best option is to use the TRS to TRRS converter. If you're on a budget. Find one of those red white yellow cables that has a 3.5mm tip with 3 rings on it. Msg me on Instagram if you would like me to assist you further.

I’ve been using my Focusrite sound interface headphone output, this method still let’s you listen to you master audio through your monitor speakers. Buy a 1/4 inch to 3.5mm converter, a standard auxiliary cable, a trs to trrs adapter, and an iPhone adapter

All yout instruments connect to the mixer. And then the mixer out Connects to the SoundCloud which then connects to the laptop for live streaming.

Hi Little help please, recently just bought the Behringer ddm4000 mixer which is a brilliant bit of kit for the price. However there is no booth output. I do a lot of live DJ facebook videos but I can't get the irig2 or rode SC4 to work for best (no background noise) sound. I have set up a rca cable straight from the master out B which is supposedly the booth output but I hear everything when recording. I also have plugged in the irig2 to the same output but the noise is really REALLY low. I have also tried the XLR cables out of the ouput A (left, Right) next to subwoofer directly to the irig2 which did have quality sound with no background noise however 2 mins into a mix it started deteriating into fuzzy melody and unbearable distorted beats! Any help on a set up would be muchly appreciated please as I'm clean out of ideas!! P.S apologies for the long message!!

I only have one master out and I saw you recommended the Y splitter. How do I use a Y splitter to connect my phone and speakers?

Yes. You need two y splitter to convert one output to two outputs. (This will be a duel stereo signal) Alternatively. You can use left out for mobile and right output for speakers. (this will be mono signal)

Buy lil stereo mini mixer that has four aux inputs and ine aux out put since there is now power needed you can reverse it plug your speakers into the output and use the four inputs as outputs they all have there own volume controls.

@@farazsohailmusic in case u r using laptop and a controller u can add an additional output as ur internal speaker(laptop) and add ur monitor to the headphone jack(laptop) and u can plugin ur facebook live output wire to the controller's output slot.

Hi Deep! The option 2 didn't work with my setup: Windows10 Dell Laptop, DDJ800, sc4 converter, ipad mini2, RCA to 3.5mm cable. I tried both ways: connect it to MASTER RCA and to AUX as well.. no result.. no sound coming... in OBS I managed to capture iPad's video with Kinoni driver and Epoccam, but couldn't get audio of it. Tried all of the sources there available? AM I missing something? Also after buying this converter and trying to figure out how the sound can be enabled. I found the "VB-Audio" virtual cable (just a driver sofrware) which works just well without any extra cables/converters.. What do you think about it?

Hey. Im quite surprised option 2 didn't work with ipad mini 2. Did you also try this without the converter at all ? And also pls tell me how did you test this. By using the recoder or by actually going live (privately). However I'm glad you found a solution and the problem is solved. Yes within OBS you have ways to use virtual cable multiple angles etc but I didn't want to get to that in this video since most people want an easier solution.

@@djdeepbhamra ok so how i tested is: connected the phone's headset (3.5mm) to the phone with SC4 converter. And did a facetime call. I spoke to the mic but none is heard from the other phone.. Will try again today without the SC4 and let you know.

tested without the converter = same thing. no audio Will try to return this device to shop. My solution for today is: VIRTUAL CABLE, which works as if I had an external soundcard.. and the sound is coming in STEREO, comparing to converter method. and costs 0$ =)

Correct bro. The delay is quite normal in some cases. As long as it is recording you should be fine. Or you can see the recent video in my page where I teach you how to do the same thing without any cables. You can try that 👍

Hey. Usually this static happens sometimes due to grounding issue at home. But try to use an alternative spike buster and you should be good to go. You should not get any static on a digital signal.

Hey Deep, thanks for this amazing video. But I need some help here. When I do this my output is way to high. it clips. So, I have my laptop connected to my audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett Solo), which goes out thru RCA to 3.5mm to TRRS to Phone. and even if I have my monitor knob at 12'o clock which 50% gain, it clips terrible. I have also tried, connecting an aux to my headphones out, going to trrs cable and to my phone and it still clips. I can hear the sound super clear in my headphones in both cases, but when I do LIVE on Insta, it clips . Any work around for it?

I've seen the Y splitters on amazon but can't do much without an Irig. Hi, Yes the situation is quite messed up. And yes it will work with DDJ SB. But you need a Y Splitter, One additional RCA to 3.5mm Cable & a TRS to TRRS converter.

i used a irig 1 with my samsung A10 ..and my mixer i used the booth output that worked for me...all so your first method worked on my samsung s9+ the A10 didnt work for me. good video nice and simple cheers

Hey Luke, Interesting question. The answer is yes (Theoretically) The way you check this compatibility is by simply connecting the cable and connect to any mixer channel, play a song on the phone and check if it is outputting signal. If the answer to this is yes try the same method with the REC out by simply connecting the RCA to the mixer rec out and playing something while you record the input using an audio recorder. If the recorder picks up the input signal you are good to go. I have personally not tried this method myself. If you happen to try do let me know if it did actually work or it didn't.

Hi Deep - I am working with a Samsung 8. I have all of the wires and adaptors you mention, but still only pic up audio from my phone's external mic. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, because it seems that the S8 has been successful for other people. Any ideas? I am looking to get audio to Instagram live from my mixer.

Hello Lauren. For a samsung phone. It's important to turn of Bixby and google assistant for this to work. Also I'm not sure if you have the right cables.
