Ive traded up two ibanez RG’s into Gibson SG’s it can be done! A rg321 i got for 100$ with 200$ in pickups traded for an 89 SG special, and a Japanese made 98 RG7621 7 string i got in 2002 for 300$ with 200$ in pickups traded for a 2005 SG Standard. Both were good friends of mine and they are both happy with their end of the deal

I hound marketplace and have a spreadsheet with market data. It’s a little extra but I’m serious about flipping.

I went from a $125 Fender Bullet to a 1970 ES-335 without adding cash. Totally worth it and a lot of fun!
