Can you believe I got denied 6 TIMES! Just got my congratulations email today!!!!!! Your video was one that definitely helped! I started my applications in the beginning of June, so a good 2 months working by butt off trying to get approved. I refused to give up!!! And, surprisingly, I resubmitted my 6th denied application EXACTLY as it was to see if another pair of eyes would think differently and it worked!!! Not a single change to my last denial and approved 3 days later! I nearly died of happiness when I saw my congratulations email!

I worked my tail off on my application, matching my experience to my education, etc. I made sure to be detailed and followed their example answers... And I was rejected within like an hour. And they won't give me any explanation why. I'm so disappointed. I really feel like they arent specific enough with their requirements. I mean I spent hours reading their sample answers, watching KZbin videos and following them specifically, checking the flow and alignment etc. If they're gonna reject teachers, they should at least explain why. We shouldn't have to keep guessing what's wrong and how to fix it.

All three application attempts were done under their former application process, and the requirement for that was a video under 90 seconds that basically showed off your teaching space and told the staff about your experience. I just applied last night. I ran through it like I did with all my applications and was not so lucky this time. I’m defeated. It was def an automatic kickback. I’m in the US so it is not location. I sent it last night and had a denial early this morning by 8. We are talking about like less than 12 hours. I’m like did they even look at it? I did something I was passionate about but I only discussed my first class bc I thought that is what they wanted. I’m so confused. Idk if I will reapply. There is a parent out there that needs this class and is requesting it and once I saw that I pushed forward with my application that I started months ago. I saw it as meant to be but even though denials seems to be a common thing I just don’t know..... sigh
@AngelaSilva4 жыл бұрын
They have been very quick with their responses lately. I have heard people being approved or denied within 2 hours. The key thing is to make sure everything is lined up from education/experience to your about me area, and then the class information and video. Once you are hired you can switch topics but they want to make sure that in the beginning everything is streamlined and you have the education or experience to back up your classes. If you did this then it could be any reason, they have been very picky for their students. Don't be defeated! Remember, it took me 3 times too!

Hello, thank you for the video, it was very informative. Can you tell me where to find the people you listed to watch their video and their names? Where can I find the 4 agreements? Thank you so much. I have a degree in French Civilization and I am certified to teach French, but have never taught it in school. I did my junior year abroad, in a french immersion program. I am currently teaching English to non-English speakers, but I do not have an Educational degree per se. I took Educational classes and got certified, but have been teaching Elementary students for 20 years. Is this going to make a difference in my profile? Also, the other classes you are teaching, did you have to reapply and make a video for those also?
@AngelaSilva4 жыл бұрын
If you click "show more" under my description there are the names of the different people I mentioned who helped me. The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel Ruiz can be found on Amazon, or possibly your local library. You can sell yourself because of your background in French. Explain your level of expertise, and you can create a sample class teaching. Once you are accepted you can create a class on anything you want!
