I got into mine through the tailgate ben ..removed number plate light housing...slightly bent plate inside and there is the cable that's used if your locked inside the boot 😁👍quick tug and boot open...20 min

Great job. Drop a two pin plug behind a grill wired to the battery so,you can charge the battery while all closed up.

Well done, Flat battery, the key lock was worn out. I couldn't get your method to work. So I removed one of the side blinkers and stripped the wires back. croc-clipped each one to the _+ and hey presto it powered the security up, and I got in using the fob. (03 TD6)

I have read that powering up the wires for the side repeaters works, but then I have also read that it hasn't for a lot of people 👍

I had same problem with my TD6, battery draining. There is a common fault which can develop with age, with the HVAC which requires a wiring mod to resolve cheaply. Info available form K Motors in Leyland UK if you need it.

Don’t fir a cut off as you’ll have to reset everything all the time. Tried as emergency not for long term. Fit a dual battery instead. I have two L322 4.4 v8 petrols 2004 and 2005 both same issues. Bought a kit of eBay and that’s so far working.

Thanks buddy I bought Land Rover tdv6 3seris without keys can’t do anything with it going to try this method tomorrow hopefully it works I really don’t want to chuck a load of cash at it as don’t know anything about this vehicle ( silly me ) 😢

You still need the key to get in with this method. Powering the socket just sends 12v to the battery, so that you can open with the key if it is superlocked.

You can also unlock by powering up the l322 through the side repeaters blue and green wire positive and brown neg I had to do it other day to get it open to get battery off to recharge I just used my low amp battery charger worked a treat :)

@@simonkharazyan3938 when you pull off your side repeater carefully push the wires into each side of the plastic clip then once the wires are secure turn on battery charger the car will beep if there's enough power left in your car battery and alarm might go off so then press unlock on your remote and hey presto your in if your battery is totally flat you may need to leave your battery charger on for a few mins to get enough power into battery to power the doors

Assume this can be done by connecting your battery chargers directly to the positive feed to the stater motor, and clamp onto the starter body for an earth, pending on how accessible it is from below.

I tried it. it worked. I frequently disconnect the battery since it gets drained so fast. But leave the door open. then it happened-i forgot to open the door, disconnected the battery, and got locked out. I connected jumpstart cables to another running car. positive to the blue wire on the left side repeater and brown to negative. turned the door key and there was a beep from all four doors. they opened. thanbkyou

Please anyone know how to get in my Range Rover 2011 through passenger side if my driver side won't open with the manual key. Do i have access with the key on the passenger side. my car is running. so, i can't open with my extra fob help. ?????

Unless your 12v socket is permanently live, i.e. not switched by the ignition, then plugging a solar charger will not make the slightest difference. You have to connect direct to battery.

Hi, Ben, I think it was lucky that you have a 13 pin plug, I don't think there is a permanent live with a 7 pin plug. ATB Norman

Normally the 7pin plug is just for your trailer lights and you would have a separate (grey) plug for caravan towing. Glad I fitted the 13pin plug now.

Don’t think so, 7 pin will just be for your trailer lights. 7 pin electrics would have had a second socket for a caravan and it’s the caravan live feed you need to energise.

Hi my bonnet is open, there is a new battery in it, fitted new battery in key fob but cant get into the vehicle. What do you think the problem is? Sport HSE 2007.

Maybe the key has lost connection with the car. Have you tried using the hard key inside the keyfob.

Might be worth while getting a 13pin plug and making up a lead on it in case your battery goes flat again. Just saying.

Your probably going to have to get underneath the front and connect some jumper cables to the starter motor to get some power in and then try the key.

Can you not take the cover off the key handle and use the key blade to open the door? This is the first and easiest way to get in with a flat battery! *edit* my bad, I see that super lock also disables the mechanical lock from working with the key! :(

I think the key should work, I believe it’s just mechanical and doesn’t need the code to open. You might struggle if it’s super locked though.

@@marcus328 I think that if you still have power in the car you should be alright, it’s if there is no power and it’s super locked sometimes the key doesn’t work. Which is why I had to power up the car to get in.

I've never seen a nine pin, only 7 or 13. If you have the seven pin, then your out of luck, as that is just the trailer lights and doesn't have a direct feed to the battery. Some older trailer electrics using the seven pin socket might have had a second socket for caravan electrics, there you would find a feed to the battery. Other than that I can't help.

I assume one plug will be for lights and the other for towing accessories (caravan etc), you should have a live feed on the second plug, that goes straight to the battery. In the UK we used to have two 7 pin plugs, but it seems we have all gone 13 pin now, especially here in France (EU)

Grey and white always used to be towing socket, pin number 4 is auxiliary battery/charging and live feed.

@@Bensgarage I tested for power with multimeter and it has about 1.5v. My L322 battery isn't very old but haven't driven it for 1-2 weeks, battery is so dead the rear suspension has gone down and body is resting on rear wheels.. Tried to put power to the pins using a 12v 1A power supply but it won't unlock.

Handy tip however a simple question - why did the key not work in the drivers door? The lock actuator is a known problem and can be repaired for less than £10. How to do it is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWrWln2NitV4p8k and takes about 20mins as tested by myself. My lock failed and I managed to lock my keys in the vehicle recently. The second fob would not work and rescue people failed with airbag tricks failed. So, my only option was to smash the drivers glass (not easy as it is laminated!!) and cost £170 to replace.

@@philgarrod9665 Far too much going by UK prices. Here in France TD6's are going for between 6K and 14K, which is the reason I got mine from the UK in the first place. Likely to put it up for 3.5K but will let it go for 2K, euros that is.

@@philgarrod9665 Well it still drives and we have not seen the TRANS SAFE warning come up yet. Still changes gear perfectly so I think its the torque converter. If we were keeping it I would change the Torque converter and refurb the box. It can go anytime, if your interested email me. Address is in the about section.
