Was it straightforward to top up the SIM card with data? Can you add more data preemptively so as to not run out while in country? We plan on getting the tourist SIM and hotspotting to others in the group.

Hi! I’m supposed to head to Cuba the end of the month. I figured the SIM card with data is a good option. Do you activate the VPN before you get to Cuba or while you’re in Cuba? I’m also seeing online esims for Cuba but I’m certain the this may not move possible, any ideas on this?

when I was there in 2018. I bought an internet card from one of the hotels lobby's. they will sell them. I think it was like $5 for 1hr? first card I bought and scratched the code, it didn't work. so I had to buy another. it was slow but worked. wifi access points were limited to certain areas like parks..so you always saw a lot of people hanging around on their phones. lol.
